Boost My Credit
My credit score was 450 a few weeks ago, being at my job for over 3 years with a steadily increasing income, but can’t get approved for a mortgage loan because of negative items that are from 6 years ago. A friend of mine recommended me to a credit specialist that raised my credit score to 780 in less than a month. File your reports: New Horizons 001 at AOL dot com

I am rejecting this response because: If you review the letter from PayPal that the business submitted to you, it states that they "may temporarily" hold funds until this issue is resolvedThis is not the same as a refund, and nothing has been returned to meThe business is inaccurately representing PayPal's actionsPlease see the attached from my PayPal account, dated today

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  After considering to accept or reject this response (leaning...

towards rejecting) I have opted to accept.  My hesitancy to accept is based on 1) I have been told the check was being sent previously, and the owner, Mr. B[redacted], offers no firm timeline for my payment other than "shortly" 2) Failure on the part of Mr. B[redacted] or Mr. J[redacted] to contact me directly regarding this matter suggests a lack of concern over it. With that said, I do accept this response as one last gesture on my part to provide New Horizons Salt Lake City the opportunity refund my money, as agreed. Sincerely,[redacted]
Sincerely,

I paid $375 for an online class. 6 days before the class I received an email stating that a headset and microphone were required. I am hearing impaired and that was not an option for me. notice. It was recommended that I come in and take an on-site class, but no information was given to me at the time about the date of the on-site class. I also was told via email that I would not be charged for the original class. On January 9th (the date of the original online class) I started getting emails about why I was late and if I was coming. I had no idea I was expected at a class that day, since I had cancelled my online participation and had not scheduled an on-site class. I have asked the company for a refund of my $375. First, I followed their policies about cancellation. Secondly, it is not my fault that I was not given the complete information about the on-site class. And finally, there is no place on their website, under the description of OLL (On-Line-Live) classes that a microphone or headset is required or even recommended. If they had made that known, I never would have signed up in the first place due to my severe hearing impairment. I believe I deserve a refund due to their failure to provide complete information. I have an email record of all of our conversations if that is necessary. Because this was a timely issue, I went elsewhere to get my learning needs met, so offering for me to come in and "re-take" the class is not a satisfactory resolution. You only have room for 4 documents to be included, but I have another email in which [redacted], the Vice President of this company tells me that I confirmed attendance at the on-site class. This is not true. I originally confirmed attendance for the online class, but that's all. They have also said I can use my one "free" re-take that is offered to all students to come in and take the class, but that is not satisfactory to me. I am still out the $375 for a class I never had access to.

Review: I attended New Horizons for a short time. I signed up for 5 certifications and gave them $12,500 upfront for the classes. I ended up getting an opportunity in California and was forced to move. They already agreed to refund my money I have e-mails with [redacted] (the person in charge of my refund) and accounts payable (the group they passed me off to and I never heard from again). I have tried to reach out to accounts payable and even the controller but they either never answer or hang up on me. I gave them the copy of the check I wrote and [redacted] told them I was APPROVED for a refund. It's been 2 years + and all they ever sent me was a $1,500 check as a "courtesy" and constantly tell me they are under new ownership and my refund is not in the budget. I have patiently waited for them to create room in the budget long enough. I don't think this is good customer service especially in regards to education. I have been nothing but polite and patient but I NEED this money back. They agreed to pay me 7.8 grand but only sent me 1,500 so they owe me the rest yet and I am just not sure how to go about this anymore?Desired Settlement: The refund was approved already. I have e-mails with [redacted] telling me I was approved and they already sent me $1,500 as a "courtesy". Well it's going on two years now and I just want the rest of my refund...
