During the autumn of 2019, I requested permission to send and receive a book to be signed by . ***. I received a call to from *** to allow me to send the book. I submitted a hardcover book for the President/Co-Founder (. ***) to sign and return to me with a prepaid return self-addressed USPS Priority Rate padded mailer. Surprisingly, a few days after it was received, . ***'s assistant, *** called me to verify the details. Before ending the phone call, *** promised the item was signed and would be in the mail immediately. After not having received the item, I called and spoke with ***, who promised the item would go out in the mail immediately. After not having received the item, I called the beginning of February 2020, again, and spoke to another employee(***). *** informed me she spoke with ***, and the signed book was in the mail. After not receiving the book, I called at the beginning of March 2020, again, and spoke with ***, who promised he spoke to ***, and the book would be in the mail. On March 3, 2020, I called *** immediately following an email with ***. She profusely apologized and claimed all responsibility for her negligence. I was explicitly told, verbatim, I would "receive the item no later than Monday, March 9, 2020". *** was never truthful, and the book has never been mailed (I maintain USPS tracking information to all items coming to this address.) I am apoplectic and disgusted by the lies of ***, and the blase approach of ***. The book was never received, at a great detriment to my financial budget, by way of USPS postal charges and the cost of the book. Shame.
