New Horizons Pressure Washing Reviews (%countItem)

I hired *** with this company to power wash our house for $300.00 in August. 6 WEEKS later our house has still not been washed and after MULTIPLE cancelations by them we requested a refund. To this date we have not received our refund. My husband contacted *** 2 weeks ago who asked that we remove a negative review on his google account in order to issue us a refund. That has not happened. We are beyond disgusted by the customer service by them and have to file multiple complaints just to receive a refund on a service he never performed.

New Horizons Pressure Washing Response • Jan 27, 2020

This issue has been resolved.

New Horizons came to my home and power-washed my home. I had some green algae on the house and lots of bug droppings that I had personally tried to scrape off myself. It was nearly impossible. The owner himself power washed the house. He was polite and efficient. I have lots of flowers and plants around the house and he was very careful not to damage anything.

When New Horizons was finished with the job, the siding actually looked brand new! It was so nice to see the house looking so good. I appreciated the professionalism and skill that the owner brought to my home. Also, the price was better than other quotes I'd received.

I would definitely use New Horizons again...and that is saying a lot, because I am very particular.

New Horizons Pressure Washing provided a wonderful service at our house today cleaning our roof and cleaning the siding. It's amazing how good the house and roof looks now that all of the dirt and mildew has been removed. Our experience with this business has been great. Professional service and dependable. What more could you ask?

New Horizons did a fabulous job power washing our house, gutters and sidewalks. We will definitely use them again.

Excellent service! Very professional, prompt, and did an amazing job of cleaning my house. Pricing was great as well. If you need power washing done call New Horizons!

did such a nice job on my house and driveway. We had some really bad oil stains and once he was done it looked so much better. He was also such a nice person and very responsive.

Curt did a good job pressure washing our dealership building. The building looks like new again. He did the job on time and bid the job well.

came out to power wash our home on 6/2/17. Prior to hiring *** we discussed that our home was only 6 months old and we were just looking for someone to spray the dirt and dust off from construction. *** explained that he would be using DI water to wash the house and would leave no water spots on our dark colored siding.*** ended up power washing our home with a solution that contained too much bleach causing damage to a long list of items to the exterior of our home. (see list below)
I contacted *** the next day and asked him what he washed the house with and sent him pictures of all the damage that was done. He was apologetic and said that he had a malfunction on the valve in his water tank and it was leaking too much bleach into the tank. He agreed to fix all the damages and make everything right. *** asked that I get estimates on fixing the damages, which I did and sent to *** on 6/17/17. After numerous calls and text of trying to get something settled over the past 3 months, *** came back to us and told us he did not think he was responsible for the damages that he did to our house. The damages *** did to our home total to $6,077.

New Horizons Pressure Washing Response

Professionally, we maintain our integrity, quality and attention to detail as always in the 12 1/2 years we have been in business.

Prior to committing to the job of power washing the garage and Home, I spoke to both husband and wife. I was told that another power washing company had made some mistakes last year and they wanted to know the process I would take in washing their home. I explained the job would be pretreated with deionized water, spray a detergent on the home, then rinse with deionized water one side at a time. They were satisfied and scheduled the job. There was never any mention of construction being the reason for cleaning or a request made for washing with water only. They were having 50+ people over that particular weekend and wanted the exterior of the home cleaned.

Once I got to the job, I asked the customer to make sure any and all doors and windows were closed and they stay inside until I was finished. As I was getting ready to start washing the side of the house where the garage doors were, I asked the customer to please have everyone go inside because I would be coming to the back of the house, where children and adults were hanging out in and around the swimming pool. As I came around the back, they continued to stay around the pool area and in the way of where I was working. A few adults were walking in and out of the house through a rear patio door where I had just sprayed detergent. I politely yet firmly asked them not to enter and re-enter the house until I was finished washing. They continued going in and out of the home.

Once I finished, I asked the wife to take a walk around the Home to make sure everything was to her satisfaction. As we started, I pointed out an area on an entry door to the left of the garage doors that was faded prior to washing and asked her about it. Her comment was that the last power washers had done some damage to the house last year. She didn’t continue walking with me to look at the rest of the house, but rather walked away and came back with payment of the job I did in the amount of $430.

The next day, Saturday, I received a text message with a bunch of pictures stating that I damaged key pads, door locks, handles, outdoor cushions, along with wooden doors, pillars, sill plates, carpet inside the house and the floor inside the garage. I mentioned the doors that I noticed that were already damaged and that I wasn’t responsible for any damage inside the home or garage. I asked what exactly I damaged. I knew it was fine when I left because she paid the bill.

Once I received what the damages were, I was taken back by what I was being accused of. I later contacted both contractors and realized I needed to do a little research after our conversation and what their responses were. They both informed me that they couldn’t get to the house until sometime in September because they were booked up. I spoke with the company the husband and wife said cleaned their house, a local franchise, for almost an hour. After speaking with them, the only records they had of doing anything for the customer was a window washing and power washing bid for a home in Chesterfield, Missouri. Definitely not the Home they currently live in. I also contacted the manufacturer of the hardware for the exterior doors, fabric company of outdoor furniture and a chemical company explaining my process of cleaning. They each said their wasn’t any way that I could be responsible for the damage to the house. They all stated it was damage done prior. The finish on the locks, door handles, key pads was stripped by an acid or a product high in alkaline. I don’t use anything that has those properties in them.

Among being dishonest in the message the customer left on the Revdex.com site, in its entirety, and saying a power washing company washed their home last year, who did not, I have come to the conclusion I was set up to take responsibility for what someone else did. If their home was 6 months old in June 2017, as mentioned in this complaint, they told me they had their house power washed last year. That would mean they had the house washed in December 2016 when It was too cold that time of year because of freezing issues. I was told by the customer, initially, that their home was a year old. This is another example of the dishonesty of the customer, in my opinion. I spoke with the husband a few weeks ago and he made the comment that the painter who did the staining on the house and the last company who power washed their home played a role in the damage that was done to their house. Yet wanted me to pay for damages.

I have washed over 400 homes since washing this one and haven’t changed the process nor have I changed detergents. I haven’t had any issues or damage to any of the houses or buildings washed.

I have attached a picture of one of the door handles I was told was damaged during the wash. This is the same photo I shared to the companies involved in my research of which they all said it was not caused by the detergent I used.

Customer Response

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

First off, we did discuss the company that washed the home right after construction was completed. This job was performed on October 6th, 2016 and we do have a copy of the receipt showing the services performed and at our current address. This company that power washed our home did no damage at all to our home. We had some issues with hard water spots left over on our dark siding and fascia but the company went back and wiped off those areas, correcting the problem. *** and I discussed this over the phone prior to the job being done by his company, which is when we discussed using the DI water so we would not have any issues of the water spots on the dark siding. The day that *** was scheduled to come power wash the house was Thursday June 1st and he said he would arrive by 730 to complete the job. About 930am rolled around and I still had not heard from or seen ***. I called him to see when he was going to be arriving for the job and he explained that he was having issues with his equipment and would have to push the job back until tomorrow. I agreed that would be okay and the next day came and went. He did not show up for the job until Friday evening until 530 pm. At this point I had family over and I asked *** before he started the job if he was going to have enough time to finish before dark. He was frustrated with my comment and that everyone had been asking him that same question. He assured me that he did and went on to complete the job. As *** moved his way around to the back of the house where my kids and family were hanging out, he never mentioned for me to move any of the furniture or cushions for the matter. We took it upon ourselves to move the outdoor cushions which still got ruined from the bleach solution- and this was only from overspray. I cant imagine what they would look like if we never took the initiative to move the cushions. I asked *** if the kids were okay as long as they stayed out of his way and he had said yes as long as they stay back from where I am spraying. After *** finished the job he did ask me to walk around the house which I did not fully do as I had family and my own kids to keep an eye on. This is the reason that I scheduled the cleaning on Thursday morning and not Friday evening. I did not notice the damages until the next day when we walked outside to what was the strongest smell of bleach I have ever smelt. Not only did I have guest over at my home when he finished, it was also dark so noticing things like that were not sticking out like a sore thumb until day light the next day. I have pictures of all the damages to the exterior finishes as well as text messages from *** stating that he had a malfunction with his equipment and he would personally take care of the damages. He also went on to tell me that he has had this happen once before to a customer and that it must have happened again because the valve in his solution tank went bad. Our home was built last year and we moved in the last week of September. I have plenty of eye witnesses and documentation showing that nothing was damaged prior to the services he performed. I have nothing to be dishonest about, rather it was who power washed our home the first time or the damages that *** did to our home. I have pictures, witnesses, text messages and documentation supporting that too. My husband and I have worked extremely hard to build our new home and when roughly $6500 worth of damage is done in a couple of hours, it is heart wrenching. I expect for the damages to be fixed by who is responsible for them, just as any other home owner would.
Sincerely

Is there a different way of sending the pictures? I can only upload 4 at a time and when I do try to send them it always comes back with an error message.

Thank you

New Horizons Pressure Washing Response

I stand by my original response and deny any and all accusations of me causing damage to their home.

I am confused as to the customers most recent response in its entirety. I disagree with the details in the response except for the statement made by the the customer referring to a past incident in my first year of being in business. I was hired by a painting company to power wash a 3 story log home. There was damage done to a door handle on a wood door on the front entrance of the home. It was later determined the home owner was responsible for the damage to the door handle in an attempt to prep the door for staining. The home owner and painting company were very pleased with the results of the power washing of the home and deck with no complaints.

I resubmitted the photos I have along with the photos attached to the customers latest response to another professional who has over 30 years in the business of power washing and chemicals. He concluded the damage on the pictures I sent were done by an acid based chemical. He also determined that flash drying was part of the reason the damage occurred as well. I don’t use acid for cleaning homes nor do I allow the detergent I use to dry on any surface of the home. I take every precaution, professionally necessary, to ensure no damage is done in the cleaning process.

I was sent an email September 19, 2017, which I have copied below. After we submitted this email to the appropriate sources, it was determined this was another act of dishonesty made by the customer. The Revdex.com complaint was opened after the payment deadline on this letter by the customer. There was no mention of the attorney, the $1500 attorney fee or any additional damages in this Revdex.com response. I didn’t respond to the email nor did I send the money that was demanded to be paid by September 26, 2017. I haven’t heard from this attorney outside the original email sent to me. It states that my actions violate the Texas Deceptive Trade Practice Act. This job was done in the state of Missouri not in the state of Texas, where the lawyers letter originated from.

Re: ***

Dear Mr.:

I represent *** and *** regarding your wrongful actions. You made many misrepresentations and damaged the property of my clients to boot. Your actions violate the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act and are actionable.

The facts are:

1) You power washed my clients property on June 2, 2017

5) Rushed to finish the work and as we now know washed the property using bleach instead of DI

6) The bleach solution you used was too strong and caused damage to the following:

Thereafter, you admitted the above noted misrepresentation and admitted you caused the damage outlined above. You went on to advise that you would personally take care of any damages but have failed and refused to honor your representations and pay for the damages caused.

To date my clients have incurred the following:

1) Rhodes Custom Painting $ 2,740.00

2) Pillows & Cushions $ 724.00

3) Handles- Straps $ 2,613.00

Additionally, my clients have incurred attorney fees in the amount of $1,500.00.

This letter is Notice of the above and Demand for payment of $ 7,577.00. If I do not receive a check payable to “***, *** and ***” on or before September 26, 2017, I will file suit seeking actual and additional damages.

In conclusion to this response, I am very thankful that we did our research before accepting responsibility of the allegations. This is a very good example of how dishonesty doesn’t pay and how honesty always prevails.

Customer Response

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

The continued accusations of dishonesty are becoming childish at this point. I have no reason to be dishonest. I have a family to take care of and three businesses to run, the last thing I want to be spending my time on is making up lies about damages done to our new home. With that being said, I will address the issues with full disclosure and honesty. There was a letter sent from our counselor at law, Mr. Van Shaw. He is based out of Texas and he must include that on his warning letter, but we have been working with a counsel out of Missouri as well and we have been advised to attempt to handle the matter through Revdex.com. By doing so, this matter would actually cost Mr. less money and prevent him from having to pay lawyer fees. We agreed to try this first because we simply want the damages repaired, we are not trying to scam money out of anyone like we have been accused of. If Mr. does not settle and handle the damages he did to our home, then we will continue with the legal action. Below is an email we received back from the *** manufacturer rep for the door handle finishes. The door handles are a patina finish (oil rubbed bronze) and can be damaged from chemicals such as bleach. I have attached the articles he sent as well.I fully disagree with Mr. statement about taking every precaution necessary to ensure no damage is done to the home. If that were the case, why would he not have informed me to move any type of fabric away from his working area. It is a well known fact that bleach will ruin fabric and knowing that he was washing our home with a bleach solution, he should have informed us to remove any fabric cushions/furniture. I did not remove any of the furniture because we were originally told the home would be washed with a DI solution, which would not cause to damage to any furniture or exterior finishes. As for the flash drying, I do agree that he did not let any solutions totally dry before washing it off, but I do believe that the solution may not have been totally rinsed off the home. I will again state that Mr. arrived late to the job and was rushed before he even began. He rushed through the entire job so he could finish before dark. He power washed a 6,000 sq ft building and a 4200 sq ft house in roughly 2 hours, it doesn't take an expert to know that he rushed through the job. Thank you Kurt!

New Horizons did an awesome job. They got our white siding sparkling white. Great communication! They were on time and very very nice and professional. They got all the mold out from under our deck. I would highly recommend them.

Originally hired Curt to do our business property. Aside from being super personable he works fast, efficient and is true to his word. I ended up having him do my home as well. Another employee was so impressed he ALSO hired Curt to do his house. Definitely will be hiring Curt again for business and personal needs in the future. If you're looking for honest, hardworking and impeccable cleaning please call Curt, you'll be thankful you did.

Curt from New Horizons Pressure Washing power washed my wooden fence, my patio, concrete driveway and house. He was polite, professional and was very competitively priced. He did an amazing job and the results of the work he did were even better than I expected. I would absolutely recommend him for your power washing needs and I will certainly utilize his services in the future when necessary.
