August 12, Dear [redacted] ,This letter is in response to the concern filed by our client with the ID number listed aboveAlong with the response, you'll find attached a copy of the agreement that our client signedThere are several factors that can determine how long the hair graft can last, such as styling habits, work environment and the proper to week service visitsThe clients' last service visit with New Image was on March 21, Since New Image has not had the opportunity to see the hair in over months, it is difficult for us to determine why the hair graft has lost hairAs stated in paragraph # of the signed agreement, there are no guarantees on the longevity of the hair replacement. One other key factor are the products that are used to care for the hair graft since this is processed human hair without a cuticleNew Image products have been designed with a blend of proprietary ingredients to treat the processed human hair to help keep it healthyIf the proper service and products are not followed this can lead to pre-mature breakage and sheddingNew Image Hair Clinic has been in the business of helping men, women and children suffering with hair loss concerns for over yearsOur goal is to help our client resolve this concern and as per our conversation on August 6, 2015, we have mutually scheduled an appointment to meet on August 14, to discuss her concerns Sincerely, Rosemarie H [redacted] Associate DirectorNew Image Hair Clinic

[redacted] has been a client of New Image Hair Clinic for many years and prior to joining the membership program, [redacted] paid the a la Carte prices for his hair grafts and services. (Copy enclosed) Please refer to the bottom of the agreement that states “there are no refunds if the New Image Hair for Life is canceled at any time by the client” It also states that a 60 day written notice is required prior to canceling membership payments.

Mr. G[redacted] offered to change Ron to a different membership program or he could cancel his current membership program with a 60-day written notice. Re:  Complaint number [redacted]

Dear Ms. [redacted]

Please be advised that [redacted] is rejecting the October 30, 2014 response from New Image Hair Clinic.

We will dispute many of the “claims” listed in New Image’s response, but it is very important to note that New Image fails to mention our numerous request for the contract , and the contract language, beginning in March 2014.  They have also omitted their repeated response that “there is no contract available” based on my father being such a long-time customer.  The contract suddenly became available after I disputed July and August 2014 credit card charges.  I have enclosed the contract mailed to me in Sept with Cookie’s post it note – dated 9/17/14.  My letter to New Image dated 9/10/14 states that “I am again requesting a copy of my father’s contract.”

Cookie references that during our conversation on 9/20/14 she asked if I would like to use the July 2014 merchant dispute as 60 day written notice – my actual response (unlike stated in her letter) was:  “March should be used, not July, because this is when we started asking for the contract.”  Cookie responded that she had to check with the “Lab” and would get back to me; she has NEVER called, just continued to charge [redacted]’s credit card.

New Image states that they provided [redacted] with “all contract services” in paragraph 5 of their response.  The contract states that Ron should receive 18 visits per year: he received 3 – contract not honored.  The fourth visit Cookie mentions, that she claims she so kindly provided at the nursing home, was an additional UNAUTHORIZED charge of $50.88 to [redacted]’s credit card AND a $40 charge during the visit.

Paragraph 3 of New Image’s response is the most disturbing.  My father NEVER said that he would be in the hospital for 3 days.  His spinal lumbar surgery on July 13, 2013 was a life threatening procedure due to other health issues.  Two surgeons refused to perform the operation based on risk.  We knew prior to this procedure that at least 6 months of rehab would be needed.  During recovery he fell and remained in critical care for almost an additional month due to a brain bleed and broken bone.  To date, [redacted], age 80, is not able to live in his home due to physical limitations.  (All medical information can be documented with physician’s notes if needed).  Cookie also claimed during one of our conversations, that my dad had 7 visits to their salon according to their records: I asked for the dates.  Ironically, some of the fabricated dates given were when he laid in ICU with a brain bleed.  In addition, Skilled nursing facilities and rehab units of hopsitals require records of log in/out for appointments.  All of this documentation can be provided if needed.

I have also attached additional documents of correspondence.
Thank you

Review: I went to New Image on January 24, 2013 because I have thin hair due to Cancer treatments four years ago. The top of my hair is very thin and I wanted to have more fullness in that area. I have been wearing wigs for four years now and wanted something more permanent that I would be able to go into water and wouldnt have to worry about falling off when having [redacted]. I also was going on vacation in June, 2013 and didnt want to worry about my hair getting wet while swimming or coming off while jet skiing. I explained all of this in my consultation. The employee ([redacted]) explained how the process worked, gave me a consultation and showed me hair assuring me they can meet my needs. It sounded great. He told me that I would have the thinning area covered with a cap that looked like my scalp and additional hair would be added to my own around the sides of my head for fullest and a natural look. I would be able to pull hair back or put it up as desired. It cost me $2,347 total and I had to pay $1,000 up front and pay the balance in 12 monthly installments. The hair arrived four months later which was a very long time from when I ordered it being that my vacation was coming up June 5, 2013. I had to call them to ask when the hair would be in, they told me it was in and I can come in to have it installed. I knew there was a problem when the stylist came in with a full wig, when I was looking forward to just the hairpiece on top and extensions around the bottom half of my own hair. The stylist starts to put the wig on and used glue to adhere it to the front of my hairline and around the sides of my head. She also cut my hair shorter because she said the wig would fit better with shorter hair underneath. I felt uneasy, because this wasnt the procedure that I thought I was getting. After she was finished, she turned me around to see it and I immediately hated it. She told me it looked good and that I come back in a week for an adjustment if I wasnt pleased. So basically I was forced to dealDesired Settlement: New Image has wig in their possession. I do not want it back. I would like a refund of all of the money paid to them to date.

Dear Ms. [redacted],

This letter is in response to the complaint filed by our client [redacted].

[redacted] came into our office on January 24, 2013 seeking guidance in regards to her fine and thinning hair. At the time of her consultation she was wearing a wig and expressed to our consultant [redacted] that she wanted something more natural and permanent. [redacted] decided to purchase a non-medical hair graft.

[redacted] agreed to the area that needed to be restored and [redacted] showed [redacted] a sample of the materials that would be used to design her new non-medical hair graft. Hair extensions were not discussed at the time of the consultation.

It took approximately 12 weeks for [redacted] hair to be completed and on April 18, 2013 our office called and left a message for [redacted] that her new hair had arrived and to please call us to schedule an appointment for the cutting and styling of her new hair. [redacted] had her new hair cut and styled on May 3, 2014 and was happy when she left.

We asked [redacted] to come back in on May 22, 2014 to check how the attachment was holding. She was leaving for a trip to the Bahamas in June and we wanted to make sure the hair was secure and it was.

On June 28,2013, [redacted] came in and met with myself and [redacted] and she explained that she didn’t like how the graft fit her scalp and it was too much hair. At that time, New Image Hair Clinic decided to remake a new graft for [redacted] at no charge.

[redacted] had her new hair-cut and styled on October 11, 2014 and was satisfied when she left.

On October 18, 2014, [redacted] came in for a re-check appointment and said the new hair doesn’t hold curl, felt stiff, was clumpy and the attachment wasn’t holding. [redacted], at that point, hadn’t washed her hair in over a week. The natural oils and acidity produced on the scalp will break down the bonding agents used to secure the hair graft if the proper shampooing and maintenance are not followed. I brushed [redacted]’s hair and when I was done, her friend [redacted] who was with her at the time made the comment of how beautiful [redacted]’s hair looked. [redacted] was happy when she left.

After several phone conversations with [redacted], she has decided to remove her hair. New Image has been working with the hair and it looks great. [redacted] was scheduled to pick her hair up on February 5, 2014 but she had to cancel due to inclement weather. I called and left a message for Michel to reschedule her appointment and I am waiting to hear back from her.

In closing, New Image Hair Clinic is willing and ready to help [redacted] with her concerns. Please have [redacted] call me to schedule an appointment so that we could address her concerns.

Review: I went to New Image because I have thin hair on the top of my hair and wanted to have more fullness in my hair. The employee showed me hair and explained how it worked and sounded great. It cost me $2200 total and I had to pay half up front and pay the other half when the hair arrived. The hair arrived a few months later and I went in to have it put on. I paid the other half before they even let me go upstairs to see it. The girl starts to put it on and uses glue to adhere it to the front of my hairline. No one EVER mentioned glue would be used. I felt uneasy, but she assured me it would do no damage to my hair. She also dyed my own hair first, but the color didnt even match uo to the hair piece and I didnt realize this until she was done installing the hair. After she was finished, she turned me around to see it and I immediately hated it. She told me it looked good and they closed at 6 and it was just about closing and if I wanted to come back for an adjustment I could. So basically I was forced to deal with what they gave me. It looked like someone literally glued a wig or a tupai on my head. It was unnatural nd hurt and was itchy. I tried to make due but I called to go back for an adjustment. After they saw the horrible color job they took the hair off to go color it. When she took the piece off, IT RIPPED OUT ALL OF THE HAIR IN MY FRONT HAIRLINE. ALL OF MY REAL NATURAL HAIR IS RUINED. I WAS HYSTERICALLY CRYING. They have a no refund policy but I refused to let them put the hair back on. They sewed some clips on it and put it in a box for me to take with me. I will never use it. My hair is sooooo thin now and I am only 30 years old. I had to go buy a wig to wear to cover all the damage they did to my real hair. Its beyond embarrassing and it cost me $2,200 to have them ruin my hair. I have cried everyday since then because I dont know how long it will take to grow back. This product is cheap and they dont tell you they are going to glue it to your head. I want my mon3y back and my own hair!!Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my money. I can return the piece to them they they gave me in a box to take home. I left the place in tears. And even with my money back, I still will not have the hair back on my head that they ruined. The girl that did my hair even tried to hide the glue with all my hair attached to it by throwing it away before I opened my eyes. I had to ask her to get it out of the garbage can to see it. I am going to be stuck wearing wigs for a long time because of New Image.

Response:

This letter is in response to [redacted] letter to the Revdex.com.

On January 24, 2013 [redacted] Met with our consultant, [redacted] to discuss her concerns with her fine and thinning hair. [redacted] shared with Mr. [redacted] that thinning hair runs in her family and her mother also has really thin hair. [redacted] said that her hair had become even worse after having a baby. After discussing several options with [redacted], she decided to purchase a non-medical hair replacement. Mr. [redacted] took a mold and hair samples of [redacted] and reviewed the methods of attachment with her. In paragraph # 7 of the signed agreement (copy enclosed) it states that if the client does not have sufficient frontal hair, it may be necessary for the client to use an adhesive to assist in securing the front of the hair replacement system at/or between service visits.

On May 15, 2013 [redacted]’s new hair was cut and styled and she told our stylist that she liked her new hair and signed the hair acceptance form that she was satisfied. (Copy enclosed).

For each new client, we schedule a check-up appointment approximately 7-10 days after the initial cutting and styling of his or her new hair. This appointment is at no-charge to our client and allows us to answer any questions or trim, color, altar or adjust the hair. On May 22, 2013, [redacted] called to cancel her checkup appointment and said that she doesn’t have any concerns with her hair and she will call back to schedule an appointment.

On June 6, 2013, [redacted] came in and said she would like the color and part of her hair graft adjusted. After removing the hair [redacted] felt that she had lost more of her own hair but after we shampooed and styled [redacted]’s hair, it looked the same as the day of her consultation. [redacted] said she felt much better. [redacted] elected to have a removable attachment and we showed her how to remove and apply the hair and she was happy when she left.

As stated in paragraph # 2 of the signed agreement, the client realizes this is a custom made item and agrees that money is not refundable for any part of this procedure.

Since our last meeting with [redacted], On June 19, 2013, she spoke with Mr. [redacted]. He suggested that she consider a Laser light hair treatment program. Which will help stimulate blood flow to the scalp and in turn feed the hair bulb to help produce healthy, fuller hair and scalp. [redacted] said she would call us back next week to schedule an appointment.

In closing, New Image Hair Clinic has held up its part of the contractual agreement and is still willing to help [redacted] with her hair loss needs.

Sincerely,
