Review: July 31, 2015 I purchased a English Bulldog from NJ Exotic Pets (Pet store owner [redacted] located at [redacted]. I paid (financed) $2835.50 (attached copy). I was told the registration papers would be mailed to me. It is now December 3, 2015 and still no papers. I starting calling the store ([redacted]) daily about 3 weeks after purchase. September 16, 2015 a letter was mailed to the store asking for the papers. November 29, 2015 I returned to the store and spoke to the store manager, [redacted], about the situation. [redacted] contacted [redacted] via his cell phone ([redacted]). I spoke with him and, at that point, he asked me to give him until Tuesday (Dec. 1, 2016) so he has time to make room for the puppy and to gather the money for the refund. I agreed. Tuesday morning at 10:15am I made my first of many calls. Tuesday evening, [redacted] finally returned my calls. He stated he did not have all the money together and if I could wait until Wednesday (Dec 2). I agreed. Wednesday (Dec 2) I made countless called to [redacted] to no avail. I then called the store and spoke with his employees ([redacted]), hoping they could reach him. They were unsuccessful. They contacted [redacted] in hopes she would have luck. Nothing. Wednesday evening, [redacted] finally made contact. I informed him that I have been more than patient and according to State Law (New Jersey Consumer Affairs and the Attorney General), I am entitled to my refund. [redacted] became hostile and stated that I can have an attorney contact him because he is NOT refunding my money. This unfortunate situation has violated my Consumer rights and [redacted] has broken the law. I am really not looking to tie up the courts and am only asking to return the puppy and receive my full refund that I am entitled to. I am attaching the only records received with the purchase of this puppy. As can be seen, several items are missing with the health records. Also attached is the information pertaining to my financing the puppy. I am asking for this business to be investigated and that this matter be taken care of swiftly. [redacted]' lack of professionalism and unlawful way of conducting business is unsettling, to say the least.Desired Settlement: I am only asking exactly what the New Jersey Consumer Affair Act (13:45A-12.7)states: take back the animal and give full purchase price, plus sales tax.
