Brannick Health Center ("SMBHC") and was instructed to have lab work completed at SMBHC. For reasons beyond our knowledge, the patient had lab work completed at the South Bend Medical Foundation ("SBMF"), our contracted laboratory. SBMF has always provided laboratory services at 100% charity for patients of SMBHC. Unfortunately, when Ms. [redacted] went to the SBMF, she was not identified as a SMBFIC patient and Ms. [redacted] was billed in error by SWF.
We would like for you to know that we have contacted SBMF and they have verbally agreed to correct the account. This should end any future collection efforts by SBMF, assuming Ms. [redacted] did not have a previous balance with SBMF.
If any account issues or collection efforts continue with the SBMF, the patient should contact [redacted] at the SBMF. Her phone number is XXX-XXX-XXXX.

I appreciate the response from the business. However I do need to contact the person noted in the letter because I have since received letter from an attorneys office regarding the account.
