Review: I am trying to resolve the following issue with New Leigh's French Cleaners(License # [redacted])doing business in the Lefrak City area on [redacted]. A pair of pants was missing from my cleaning. In place of those pants another similar pants was included in the batch. I didn't realize the mistake until I tried them on. The pants were from the same manufacture, [redacted], the same size, 14 and color, the style was different and the pants legs must have been for someone with a 32" to 34" length. I'm a definite 29". My husband returned the pants to the cleaners and I waited for a couple of days before checking if they had found my pants. This caused the problem. The female owner(?) explained that they don't make those type of mistakes. She did made a cursory look for the pants. I went so far as to try on the pants to show her that the pants leg was too long. I asked for reimbursement. The pants are 2 years old but in good condition. I was told I had to wait for 2 months in hopes that someone else would bring in my pants and exchange them for theirs. 2 months is unacceptable to me. I also spoke to the male owner who explained the process for tracking the clothing. All of this is well and good, but I am still without my pants. I asked for their business information and told them that after I picked up my cleaning today, I would not be back. To ensure that I had not made an error, I went through my closets to make sure the pants had not been returned to me. They were not and I'm writing this complaint.Desired Settlement: I want to be reimbursed for the loss of my pants no less than $40 and an apology from the owners. Minor mistakes are part of doing business, and the customer is not always wrong. The reimbursement should be in the form of cash, because as I stated earlier, I will no longer be using that establishment. Its out of the neighborhood for me!
