Review: I have asked New Life Fitness numerous times to cancel my gym membership. I did not receive the 16wks of free personal trainer. I joined when James Sparks was manager. Once I had an appointment with James and I left work early. When I arrived, he placed me on a treadmill and told me that he was overbooked for the promotion. Then, I ended up leaving and going back to work. I came back another time and I did manage to get him to show me some of the equipment. Another time, he was a no show for the appointment. Then, another time he complained about being at the gym all day and he was going home. Long story short, I never received the 16 wks personal trainer. During the time that I joined, James was transitioning out of the business to go into Ministry work. He did not even bother to tell the gym members. I had hoped the new owner would have made it right, but I found out when talking to new owner, Jeanine, she does not own the previous contracts. She told me that they were asking her for a ridiculous sum to purchase the past contracts. I contacted [redacted] in Harrisburg,Pa and they told me that they cannot cancel my contract. [redacted] could not even give me a phone number to the one who owns my contract. Yet, they can send me demand letters for $706.80 in services that I will never receive. I stopped going to New Life Fitness months ago and I have no intentions of ever going back. The money that has been made off me so far, they need to call it a done deal.Desired Settlement: I want the contract ended. I plan to never use or reccomend New Life Fitness. I want [redacted] to stop sending demand letters and I want something in writing stating that contract has been terminated and I owe$0.00.

Review: I have recently been injured from weightlifting and had to have two surgeries on my elbow involving the ulnar nerve, and the triceps brachii tendon. I am completely unable to use the services at the aforementioned gym, and I have brought this to the attention of the Dr. of which I am under his care involving the surgeries. He agreed the I am unable to use the gym's services, and as such wrote a note telling the gym to postpone payments until further advised as I am unable to do any strenuous activity. I have been New Life Health Club several times, but I have been unable to speak with an owner, and was told by a personal trainer to give him the doctor's note and he will take care of it. It has been well over a month, and I was charged $29.99 even though I was told that I would be contacted by the gym's owners. I have been ignored time and time again and unfairly charged.Desired Settlement: I would like to have either: A) Payments postponed until my doctor releases me to use the gym's services, and the $29.99 charge to be dropped for the month I was not using the gym.
