Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint by [redacted] She has posted these complaints around the internet with the heading "BEWARE OF THE $SCAM" using the word "scam" is defamatory language and has impacted our business and our social media reputation We have been in business since and have never received a complaint to the Revdex.com.However, to respond to the letter, I will reiterate what I put on the Google site:Dear Ms [redacted] :I am sorry you were confused by our websiteWe have been in business since and have had the same cancelation policy for decadesOur website clearly states on our reservation page (prior to inputting your credit card information):Important! You must complete the following information for your reservation to be confirmedWe will review your information as it is listed below. Please remember that we will need a deposit of $per person before we can complete the reservation requestPlace the number of people in your party and then click on the "Continue" button below. You will be charged $per person.Deposits refundable if cancellation is received at least days prior to arrival minus a $feeIf not refundable, deposits may be used for a future stay up to one year from original reservation. You may click here to see it:http://www.newlifehikingspa.com/product/reservation.htmWe are a seasonal business, open every year from May - September and all dates are available this early on in the seasonWe clearly mark our website on dates that we are full when that happens. If guests have any questions, one can contact us throught the "contact us" page or call us directly anytimeOne does not need to make a reservation and pay $to check dates. It is unusual that someone would actually make a reservation just to see if the dates were availableActually, we have never had that happen in over yearsSo you can understand we took your reservation as a real reservation. We have one of the most lenient cancellation policies in the industry and an excellent rating from the hundreds of people who have spent their vacations with usIt is unfortunate that there was this misunderstanding before even actually being our guestBest of luck to you.The above explanation was posted as a response on Google and that is what my response is for the Revdex.com as well.It is unfortunate that there is this misunderstanding, but as you can clearly see by our website and what she is claiming, she just plain didn't read it!

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please add your rejection comments below The only way to find out if the dates requested are available is to give credit card info and wait for a response Try using your own website; you'll see what happens It absolutely appears as your way to get $from anyone who wants to simply check if dates are going to work The next thing I received was a confirmation INCORRECTLY quoting the estimated price and dates To still then be charged for this is a scam and unprofessional Regards, [redacted]

Again, in response to *** ***'s complaint, I urge you to read our website for reservations. We have been in business for years and have a stellar reputation. There has never, ever since we have been on the internet (when the internet first came out) have had anyone mistake our reservation page for finding out availability. She made a reservation and canceled. We charge $for that

The only way to find out if the dates requested are available is to give credit card info and wait for a response.  Try using your own website; you'll see what happens.  It absolutely appears as your way to get $75 from anyone who wants to simply check if dates are going to work.  The next thing I received was a confirmation INCORRECTLY quoting the estimated price and dates.  To still then be charged for this is a scam and unprofessional.
