August 2nd, in Racine, WI we had a terrible afternoon storm There were strong winds and about of my roof shingles were ripped from the roof of our house A damaged roof was not what I needed in my busy life My neighbor and I were looking at my roof, and he suggested I call his friend Clint [redacted] of New Life Property Restorations My Neighbor Dave had worked with Clint for over years and knew him personally and told me he was honest and trustworthy Dave gave me the number to call I did my background checks on Mr [redacted] and his business and I was happy to learn that the company is A+++ Clint himself was a Navy Rescue Swimmer How could I not hire a person who volunteered to jump into harms way to rescue people that were in danger of drowning ? He is a Veteran and values life I spoke to Clint and that next morning at 6:he was at my house putting a protection tarp over my damaged roof to protect the roof from further damage That is called professional due diligence and care, friends Clint [redacted] worked with my insurance adjuster and he worked quickly to get my roof replaced From the time of first contact to finishing my roof was days !! He explained to us what needed to be done and how he would accomplish the task with no stress He and his company really put us at ease, and our new roof is absolutely beautiful My wife and I are extremely happy I would characterize dealing with New Life Property Restoration LLC and Clint [redacted] as: Honest, Trustworthy, Professional Installers, Quality People, Quality Product, Organized, No Stress, Clean Paperwork and they kept their word as to their products and services, and lastly, the communication between us was lightning fast, day or night when we had a question The only thing I am upset about is that I can't give them stars on Yelp as the rating system only goes to :) Please give them a call so you can be happy too

I have been working with New Life Restoration for about three months now in order to get my house back in order after significant water damageI have had a very positive experience with the entire staff, owners to office managers, to restorer's and tradesman alikeThey have all been very responsive and professionalI honestly could not have gone through this catastrophe without themI highly recommend this company

Part 1: Have a Problem? Good Luck Finding Them New Life Exteriors solicited me to have my roof replaced in October based on wind damage which occurred in April They indicated they had replaced my next door neighbor’s roof, as well as several others on my block street, and many others in my town of Highwood, Illinois A claim was filed with my insurance company and New Life installed a new roof in November I asked New Life at that time (November 2014) if the job should be put off and done in the spring due to the bad weather, but they said no, it would be fine to proceed immediately The job was done in November (it was raining and cold) and was billed and processed in January On 2/26/16, a squirrel clawed its way into my bedroom ceiling I immediately called a contractor who inspected my roof for the point of entry (2//28/16) He found the hole and found that the entire back side of my roof, and the adjacent rear south side of my roof had no fascia (my contractor erroneously called it flashing.) Whatever My contractor also found that my gutters (on the south and north sides) had not been re-hung properly, which explained the deluge of water I had been getting by my back door in heavy thunderstorms (instead of flowing to my downspout, it was overflowing from the closed end)At this point, I tried to contact New Life Exteriors to get them to come out, inspect my roof, and remedy the situation That turned into a real ordealBetween 2/and 3/1: I tried the phone number on my bill - [redacted] I got a message saying “Your call cannot be completed as dialed Please check the number and dial again” (Which I did.) I tried the phone number listed on your (Revdex.com) website - [redacted] I got the same “your call cannot be completed as dialed” messageThen I tried [redacted] .com Their number - [redacted] - is a fax machineI went back to your Revdex.com listing for New Life Exteriors and was directed to the Revdex.com listing for New Life Property Restoration (another A+ rating) with a new number - [redacted] - and this was interesting That number belongs to a residence The woman who answered said she gets calls all the time and doesn’t know why I told her why She is very annoyedThen, I found a New Life Property Restoration with a different phone number: [redacted] “The party you are trying to reach is not available Please leave your name and number and somebody will return your call as soon as possible.” So, of course I left a message and asked somebody to call me right away They did notNext day, 3/ Since nobody was returning my call, I continued to search for another phone number to find a real person to speak toI called the number back again, and left a 2nd messageThen I noticed there was an email address on my invoice So I sent an email and, much to my surprise, I got a response! But wait… the response was a call back from a Kristeen who said she was calling on behalf of _______ (could not make out the name) who was in Europe She left me her phone number - [redacted] So I called her back…and you guessed it! “This number is no longer in service.” Wow Just WowI called the number back and left a 3rd message saying that if I did not hear back from someone within hours, I would contact you, the Revdex.com, and [redacted] *** New Life Exteriors uses their excellent ratings with you and [redacted] as a major selling pointAnd suddenly I got an email response from Kristeen who was all so willing to help me, and low and behold, suddenly had a working telephone number, and was seemingly “surprised” when I told her that her number was “no longer in service” when I tried to reach her earlierFinally, I had made personal contact with New Life Exteriors It took days and a lot of effort Horrible customer servicePart 2: Can We Help You? Of Course We Can…Hmmm… No, Sorry… Not Our ProblemKristeen and I exchanged several emails, including photos that my contractor had taken of the problem areas She was very courteous and said she would send someone out immediatelyThen began the struggle to get New Life Exteriors to help me with my roofing problemOn 3/5/16, New Life sent Jay to my house who inspected the roof on both sides, as well as the gutters and told me “we will take care of this” and looked at the next week’s weather report to schedule a time for the work This was Saturday, 3/5/ He left saying the work would be done Thursday or Friday, 3/or 3/11, and it would be a day jobOn Wednesday, 3/9/16, I contacted Jay to find out if New Life was coming the next day (Thursday) or Friday to complete the work Jay sounded strange on the phone He said the crew would be out on Friday between am - am Then he said I would be getting an email as they (New Life) had reviewed my file, or something to that effect I said “What are you talking about? I am not paying for this I already told you guys.” Jay again said I would be receiving an emailSo, I did get an email that day (3/9) from Kristeen who indicated that my roof was missing “fascia” which… you guessed it! Was not a part of my contract with New Life ExteriorsSo, instead of sending a work crew to repair my roof and gutter problems on Friday, 3/11, New Life sent another guy to inspect the roof and gutters a second time He took more picturesI had a final phone conversation with Kristeen wherein I told her that: • The missing “fascia” is not visible from the ground level It is only visible if you are on a ladder Therefore, I (their customer) had no knowledge that it was missing• New Life had to know it was missing when they installed the roof I have fascia on every part of my roof, except for the sections under discussion• Even if fascia was not a part of my contract, I told Kristeen…“As a professional roofing contractor, don’t you think it was your responsibility to tell me, your customer, that I was missing an important component of my roof?” I told Kristeen, again, I know nothing about roofs! That’s why I hired you I would have gladly paid more to have the fascia installed if I had known it was missingNew Life followed up with a final email emphasizing they had no responsibility, but adding they would be happy to send me an estimate for fixing the roof and gutter problemsAnd, they also went so far as to bribe me by suggesting that they could re-open my original claim to cover a window on my 2nd floor Which is absurd, by the way Their workers had their nose an inch from this window How in the world could they have overlooked this on the original claim? By the way, I never got the email with the estimateSo, buyer beware Do not take their word for it when they say their job is done Get your own contractor out there and have him/her inspect New Life’s work before they leave your job site Because you will never get their help if you have a problem later onOh And never… never let them do your job in inclement weather - and they will try to bully you into it (that’s what they did to me.) I think the crew who did my roof knew I needed fascia, but they didn’t care or didn’t want to take the time to do the job right because they wanted to get out of the rotten weather asap

They are scam artistsNew Life Property Restorations came in for a roof damage after a hailstormThey claimed that they would call insurance and get it approved and covered by insuranceAt the end, I end up making all callsThey were the most expensive and with lowest quality shinglesI did not use them and went with another companyNow they want $1,for the estimate that they did ant treat me with “taking further action”

August 2nd, 2015 in Racine, WI we had a terrible afternoon storm. There were strong winds and about 20 of my roof shingles were ripped from the roof of our house. A damaged roof was not what I needed in my busy life. My neighbor and I were looking at my roof, and he suggested I call his friend Clint [redacted] of New Life Property Restorations. My Neighbor Dave had worked with Clint for over 8 years and knew him personally and told me he was honest and trustworthy. Dave gave me the number to call. I did my background checks on Mr. [redacted] and his business and I was happy to learn that the company is A+++. Clint himself was a Navy Rescue Swimmer. How could I not hire a person who volunteered to jump into harms way to rescue people that were in danger of drowning ? He is a Veteran and values life.
I spoke to Clint and that next morning at 6:30 he was at my house putting a protection tarp over my damaged roof to protect the roof from further damage. That is called professional due diligence and care, friends. Clint [redacted] worked with my insurance adjuster and he worked quickly to get my roof replaced. From the time of first contact to finishing my roof was 6 days !! He explained to us what needed to be done and how he would accomplish the task with no stress. He and his company really put us at ease, and our new roof is absolutely beautiful. My wife and I are extremely happy. I would characterize dealing with New Life Property Restoration LLC and Clint [redacted] as: Honest, Trustworthy, Professional Installers, Quality People, Quality Product, Organized, No Stress, Clean Paperwork and they kept their word as to their products and services, and lastly, the communication between us was lightning fast, day or night when we had a question. The only thing I am upset about is that I can't give them 10 stars on Yelp as the rating system only goes to 5. :) Please give them a call so you can be happy too.

A group of three representatives of New Life Property Restoration approached me outside of my home offering "free roof inspections." I already know that my roof is nearing the end of its useful life, but I reluctantly accepted the offer because they said there was a hailstorm in September, and that they were looking for damages which might be covered by my insurance company.

They proceeded with the inspections and returned with a plethora of photographs of "hail damages" circled with chalk, boasting that with their many years of experience, they knew the insurance company would pay for a new roof.

I was still a skeptic, but I signed a contract with them and filed a claim with my insurance company, and coordinated with the insurance adjusters.

Finally, the adjuster showed up for an inspection along with another (more experienced) representative of New Life Property Restoration. Neither one of them could find a single piece of evidence of hail damage.

Fortunately, the terms of their contract were fair -- no obligation to me without coverage by the insurance. However, I'm annoyed that these three representatives seemed to be going around the neighborhood, seriously misrepresenting their level of experience, and confidently calling out hail damage for anyone who would let them up on their roof. A waste of time.

Part 1: Have a Problem? Good Luck Finding Them
New Life Exteriors solicited me to have my roof replaced in October 2014 based on wind damage which occurred in April 2014. They indicated they had replaced my next door neighbor’s roof, as well as several others on my 1 block street, and many others in my town of Highwood, Illinois. A claim was filed with my insurance company and New Life installed a new roof in November 2014.
I asked New Life at that time (November 2014) if the job should be put off and done in the spring due to the bad weather, but they said no, it would be fine to proceed immediately. The job was done in November 2014 (it was raining and cold) and was billed and processed in January 2015.
On 2/26/16, a squirrel clawed its way into my bedroom ceiling. I immediately called a contractor who inspected my roof for the point of entry (2//28/16). He found the hole and found that the entire back side of my roof, and the adjacent rear south side of my roof had no fascia (my contractor erroneously called it flashing.) Whatever. My contractor also found that my gutters (on the south and north sides) had not been re-hung properly, which explained the deluge of water I had been getting by my back door in heavy thunderstorms (instead of flowing to my downspout, it was overflowing from the closed end).
At this point, I tried to contact New Life Exteriors to get them to come out, inspect my roof, and remedy the situation. That turned into a real ordeal.
Between 2/29 and 3/1:
I tried the phone number on my bill - [redacted]. I got a message saying “Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again”. (Which I did.)
I tried the phone number listed on your (Revdex.com) website - [redacted] I got the same “your call cannot be completed as dialed” message.
Then I tried [redacted].com. Their number - [redacted] - is a fax machine.
I went back to your Revdex.com listing for New Life Exteriors and was directed to the Revdex.com listing for New Life Property Restoration (another A+ rating) with a new number - [redacted] - and this was interesting. That number belongs to a residence. The woman who answered said she gets calls all the time and doesn’t know why. I told her why. She is very annoyed.
Then, I found a New Life Property Restoration with a different phone number: [redacted]. “The party you are trying to reach is not available. Please leave your name and number and somebody will return your call as soon as possible.” So, of course I left a message and asked somebody to call me right away. They did not.
Next day, 3/1. Since nobody was returning my call, I continued to search for another phone number to find a real person to speak to.
I called the 800 number back again, and left a 2nd message.
Then I noticed there was an email address on my invoice. So I sent an email and, much to my surprise, I got a response!
But wait…. the response was a call back from a Kristeen who said she was calling on behalf of _______ (could not make out the name) who was in Europe. She left me her phone number - [redacted]. So I called her back…. and you guessed it! “This number is no longer in service.” Wow. Just. Wow.
I called the 800 number back and left a 3rd message saying that if I did not hear back from someone within 24 hours, I would contact you, the Revdex.com, and [redacted]. New Life Exteriors uses their excellent ratings with you and [redacted] as a major selling point.
And suddenly I got an email response from Kristeen who was all so willing to help me, and low and behold, suddenly had a working telephone number, and was seemingly “surprised” when I told her that her number was “no longer in service” when I tried to reach her earlier.
Finally, I had made personal contact with New Life Exteriors. It took 3 days and a lot of effort. Horrible customer service.
Part 2: Can We Help You? Of Course We Can…. Hmmm… No, Sorry… Not Our Problem.
Kristeen and I exchanged several emails, including photos that my contractor had taken of the problem areas. She was very courteous and said she would send someone out immediately.
Then began the struggle to get New Life Exteriors to help me with my roofing problem.
On 3/5/16, New Life sent Jay to my house who inspected the roof on both sides, as well as the gutters and told me “we will take care of this” and looked at the next week’s weather report to schedule a time for the work. This was Saturday, 3/5/16. He left saying the work would be done Thursday or Friday, 3/10 or 3/11, and it would be a 1 day job.
On Wednesday, 3/9/16, I contacted Jay to find out if New Life was coming the next day (Thursday) or Friday to complete the work. Jay sounded strange on the phone. He said the crew would be out on Friday between 8 am - 9 am. Then he said I would be getting an email as they (New Life) had reviewed my file, or something to that effect. I said “What are you talking about? I am not paying for this. I already told you guys.” Jay again said I would be receiving an email.
So, I did get an email that day (3/9) from Kristeen who indicated that my roof was missing “fascia” which… you guessed it! Was not a part of my contract with New Life Exteriors.
So, instead of sending a work crew to repair my roof and gutter problems on Friday, 3/11, New Life sent another guy to inspect the roof and gutters a second time. He took more pictures.
I had a final phone conversation with Kristeen wherein I told her that:
• The missing “fascia” is not visible from the ground level. It is only visible if you are on a ladder. Therefore, I (their customer) had no knowledge that it was missing.
• New Life had to know it was missing when they installed the roof. I have fascia on every part of my roof, except for the 2 sections under discussion.
• Even if fascia was not a part of my contract, I told Kristeen…“As a professional roofing contractor, don’t you think it was your responsibility to tell me, your customer, that I was missing an important component of my roof?” I told Kristeen, again, I know nothing about roofs! That’s why I hired you. I would have gladly paid more to have the fascia installed if I had known it was missing.
New Life followed up with a final email emphasizing they had no responsibility, but adding they would be happy to send me an estimate for fixing the roof and gutter problems.
And, they also went so far as to bribe me by suggesting that they could re-open my original claim to cover a window on my 2nd floor. Which is absurd, by the way. Their workers had their nose an inch from this window. How in the world could they have overlooked this on the original claim?
By the way, I never got the email with the estimate.
So, buyer beware. Do not take their word for it when they say their job is done. Get your own contractor out there and have him/her inspect New Life’s work before they leave your job site. Because you will never get their help if you have a problem later on.
Oh. And never… never let them do your job in inclement weather - and they will try to bully you into it (that’s what they did to me.) I think the crew who did my roof knew I needed fascia, but they didn’t care or didn’t want to take the time to do the job right because they wanted to get out of the rotten weather asap.

I love that this company is family owned. I really got the feeling that they care about the quality of work that they do. My new roof is perfect! My insurance company sent me a check and it covered the entire job, so it cost me nothing at all. They also took care of getting my mortgage company to endorse the check, no small task I am told.
Although the whole wind and hail damage issue was a real headache, Doug and Christine were great, and made the entire process a breeze (no pun intended). Thanks to you both for all you help in getting my roof replaced in a timely manner. I will recommend you to all my friends.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/10/13) */
Mr. [redacted] had entered into a legal contract with New Life Exteriors, which he was happy to sign. Our contract clearly states that if you have us show up to the adjuster appointment and use our field knowledge to show the insurance adjuster...

what types of damages that we saw, and were able to negotiate a fair price for the repairs of this damage ( with the approval of the insurance company), then he would be obligated to use us for the work. If he chose to do the work himself, or another company, then he would be billed 15% for our services rendered. Our contract clearly states this, and if he never intended for us to do the work why did he sign the contract and have us out to the adjuster to negotiate on his behalf?
I am disappointed that Mr [redacted] would not just call us in regards to this matter, but instead, made a complaint on the Revdex.com. We here at New Life Exteriors strive for 100% customer satisfaction and are always willing to listen and compromise with our customers.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/10/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I understood that if materials were ordered I then would be billed 15%. To my knowledge materials were never ordered and a date was never set for work to be done on the house. Also, on the website for New Life Exteriors it states free No obligation estimates! I feel it is unethical to charge someone 1,500.00 for something New Life Exteriors claims to be free. I am unable to pay 1,500.00 due to a recent disability and not being able to go back to work nor do I want to pay for something New Life Exteriors claims to be free.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/10/16) */
I will take away the invoice, but Mr. [redacted] needs to read contracts before signing them. What he did was unethical by promising us that we would do the work, just to get us over there for his adjuster appt. Knowing that we would work hard at getting him approved and getting the most money that we could for him.
Estimates are free, those do not require a signed contract!
We run a business here and if we spent all our time helping homeowners out and not getting any work out of it, we would be out of business fast. It is common sense that if you hire an attorney to represent you for a case, and he wins the case. That attorney will need to be paid. The same principle apply here.
But like I said I will remove the invoice.
