Review: Gross misrepresentation of payments. I spoke to a representative of New Life Transport and she specifically told me I could make two payments in order for my stuff to be delivered. One deposit, and one upon delivery. Now, when picking up my stuff they told me I needed to pay 75% before they would even ship my stuff out to my new location. They are now holding my stuff ransom and will not release it from the warehouse until I make the payment. They have verbally told me that I need to make three payments now before they will send my stuff to me. Further they are telling me I contractually signed to three payments. When reading the contract, there is nothing about three payments. Exact language - "The balance due to the carrier at pick up and DELIVERY must be paid in full in the form of cash or post office money order only. Carrier reserves the right to collect up to 75% of the balance due prior to the goods leaving the original state". the Sales rep specifically mentioned I could make the balance payment upon delivery. I would not have hired them if this wasnt the case. Now they are holding my things ransom and will not deliver until I make a payment. Now I will not have access to stuff I NEED in the next coming weeks. I would really appreciate if someone could help me here. This is a gross misrepresentation of their sales process and not acceptable.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for my total fee. The company grossly misrepresented their services and timing of when payments needed to be made. They then referred me to the contract and there is no language that discusses three payments to be made. I spoke with three people at the business and they refused (essentially holding my stuff ransom) until I was able to make the payment. This is unacceptable and needs to be resolved.

Review: Company had a written contract to deliver our stuff from Pennsylvania to Nevada. Our stuff was picked up June 9 and as of July 2 our stuff was still in New Jersey. Yes, New Life Transport was the subcontractor company(originally the company was Cross Country Movers) BUT we had a written contract for guaranteed delivery for July 1 due to myself and my husband starting school on July 6. We even paid extra for the guaranteed delivery within 14 business days or July 1. After multiple days of run around calls with both Cross Country movers and New Life transport, no one would tell me if my stuff left or when it would be arriving in Nevada. Finally after more than 7 business days, I was able to get in touch with the owner ([redacted]) who says our stuff was safe (which I still dont believe) because according to the Revdex.com of New jersey along with the Department of Consumer affairs New Jersey, this company is registered to an apartment with NO WAREHOUSE property to store our things. To tell you the truth I still dont know where my stuff is or if it will arrive in Nevada. My whole family flew up early to help us move and now we are sitting at our new apartment with NOTHING. MORE IMPORTANTLY our expensive things for school which we bought in advanced that we THOUGHT would be here due to guaranteed delivery on July 1, are NOT here. We will need to incur increased cost to buy these things because the company did not follow the WRITTEN contract. Plus my family is here doing nothing because we have nothing! We talked with the owner, since written contract means nothing to them, we don't believe and still dont believe anything he says. He states he is going to give us a refund but cant tell us how much. We are furious with this company due to the subpar customer service and most importantly not fulfilling their end of the contract which they bought/subcontracted from the original company. Quite frankly, their business details are none of my business. I JUST WANT MY STUFFDesired Settlement: We need a refund of the money we paid originally for guaranteed delivery by July 1/ 14 business days along with damages for extra cost incurred for physical, emotional and mental damages along with cost incurred for extra expenses for school things that we need for July 6, 2015. WE MOSTLY JUST WANT TO HAVE OUR THINGS!!!!
