Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. Our billing department has submitted two claims for this date of service to the VA on behalf of the patient that have not been paid. We have made multiple attempts to contact the VA and the patient with no success. While we
accept payment from third party payers, the patient is ultimately responsible for the charges. In an effort to resolve the issue, we have again filed the claim to the VA

If the consumer does not provide a reason the complaint will be closed Answered]The va has been advised of the problem of $86. The va has already told me they have taken care of the bill. The heart institute was advised of the operation and that the VA was totally responsible and I gave them a copy of the notice. They have billed medicare, bc/bs, and the va. They have confused the whole process by trying to collect from all insurances and the va. It is not my responsibility and I have talked to heart institute and they said I understand and now after all this time they are still trying to collect from me and not the va. The va told me that had already paid the bill.
