This was absolutely our fault. We first mailed her refund to the job address and not her home mailing address. The unopened envelope was returned to our office where it ended up in boxes of correspondence. We were(are) in the process of moving into our new office and have 75 years worth of business office material to move. Once we figured out what happened, we sent a new refund check to the proper address, which we verified that the customer had received. Sorry about that. Honest mistakes happen and we tried to resolve as quickly as possible. Obviously, we were slow in responding to it, so we will also offer her a free septic tank cleaning at the next service interval to make things right. That means no charge to her. On us. Free !
