New Power has a very friendly and helpful staff and they show that they really care about their customers

We had solar paneling and a new package unit air conditioner and ducting installed this past summerWe are satisfied with the solar paneling and air conditionerHowever, I called the sales representative Corey about the situation and was prompted to contact the gentleman who had installed the air conditioning and ductingAt that point, I was informed that the gas valve was not turned on and was closed offAfter scheduling someone to come by and turn it on, no one came to my house to do soAfter calling a couple days of no communication or follow up on the installers behalf, I called Corey the sales representative again to inform him that nothing had been done at that pointI was told he was unaware of the matter and that he would look into itAgain, several days past without a status update or a scheduled date of someone coming to turn it onAfter a week of no communication, I had to get on the roof and turn the gas valve on myselfThe customer service end of the business was highly unprofessional in the fact they didn't return calls or provide any status of my situation

March 3, 2018, as a favor to a friend of a friend, we, my husband and I, listened to a sales pitch by a New Power salesperson for solar We were interested in the product, and began to work on financing However, as I explained to the salesperson, Shari, nothing would be bought without the approval of my Daddy and brothers, as our home is a family trust home Shari lead us to believe this was not to be a problemShari had us apply for financing to purchase the solar system through Dividend Solar Shari assured me it would be a soft credit check, as my husband and I have been working to improve our credit for the last couple of years That same evening, I either received a phone call on my home phone, or Shari handed me her phone to speak with a Dividend Solar person to move forward on the soft credit check At that point, I was asked for my social security number, and other identifying personal information We were approved for the loanThe next day, my Daddy wanted to look into other options for the solar So I relayed this information to Shari Shari and her boss came by our home a few days later really can't remember why, but Kim, Shari's supervisor, explained they would be working on getting us a company to quote a lease for a solar system Didn't hear anything for a week or so Periodically I would call the sales rep, Shari, and it would take her days or so to call me back, if she even called me back With that being said, we already knew we would not do business with this company for their lack of customer service Who would want to get a solar system, have it go down, or run into a problem, and you can't get a hold of anyone As your 1/of deer rots in the freezer NO THANK YOU!!!
Then, I receive a letter from, GreenSky Financial, dated March 5, 2018, advising me I had not been approved for a loan I had never heard of GreenSky Financial, and I sure didn't give anyone authorization to have GreenSky run a credit check for meI called GreenSky, and spoke with a Jesse in the escalation department, wanting to know how they got my personal information Without my authorization to run my credit, I asked Jesse to call Experian and explain there had been a mistake and to remove the credit check from my credit score Jesse explained an investigation needed to take place, and he would get back with meI did leave a heated message for Shari explaining the situation, when she finally did respond she told me it was a soft credit check I explained that it was NOT a soft check, but more importantly… who is GreenSky, and NO they did not run a soft credit checkI waited and called GreenSky for any updates they may have in the next to three weeks Jesse explained he had reached out to New Power to find out what was going on, and they did not receive a response Jesse wasn't always in the office, so I would talk to an associate of Jessies’, and she was very helpful in guiding me through the process and whom I should try to speak with At this point, I am looking at this as an "Identity Theft" The associate read in the notes of the case, Jessie had called me the day before, and there was not answer I was home all day, and the phone didn’t ring all day After checking the phone number they had for me, was not my phone number Wrong area code, wrong everything I can get no one to return my call from New Power, and I couldn't get GreenSky to call Experian to have the credit check removed from my credit reportVery Frustrating to say the least Shari then comes by my house to discuss the credit check fiasco The hour Shari was here she explained a few different and possible scenarios, but mostly, she agreed that no credit check should have been run by GreenSky She also mentioned some drama that may have been taking place between New Power and GreenSky Something about they use to do a lot of business with GreenSky, and their relationship had recently changed New Power was now using Dividend Solar, in lieu of GreenSky Her supervisor Kim was loyal to GreenSky, and she probably had GreenSky run a credit check to offer us the best price Again, I did not authorize GreenSky nor Kim to do any further credit checks on my behalfBefore Shari leaves she has to call someone above her in title, and I can hear whispers and my name once in a while The person she was speaking with asked how close of friends we were, and could she persuade me to drop the whole matter They didn’t feel it was that big of a deal, and New Power was concerned I would write a bad review on Yelp The other big question was how they had received my entire social security number Shari and I came to the conclusion that I had given it to Dividend while they were verifying my identificationI was given the name Matt Collins by GreenSky as the point of contact for New Power I called him a couple of times, and was stuck talking to this women Brenda Brenda was a little sharp around the edges, after she accused me of lying about my knowledge of GreenSky, I told her we were having a problem communicating, and would she just have her supervisor call me back so as to get this nightmare rectified Her supervisor never called me back, however, Brenda did, and she stated how every conversation was recorded, and they had listened to the recordings and found me offering my social security for GreenSky to run a credit check I requested a copy of the recording, and to date have not received itI then receive a phone call from a New Power owner, Thomas S***, a week after Shari had come to my house After a long and frustrating conversation with him, nothing had been resolved He implied that that everyone knows that a soft credit check does not require the entire social security number I know nothing about soft or hard credit checks I explained to Thomas, if he is interested in duck hunting, and has questions about decoys…Call me, I’m an expert; and if I had questions about solar or soft and hard credit checks, I would give him a call Also, I explained I am very understanding If you’ve made a mistake, just make it right People make mistakes all the time It isn’t a big deal to me, just do the right thing Thomas continued to imply I had deviously given my information to GreenSky, and this problem I had, had nothing to do with New Power Thomas also mentioned the recording New Power had of me speaking of my social security number At the end of mine and Thomas’s telephone conversation, he was going to send an e-mail to GreenSky stating this was an error on New Power’s part, and would they please contact Experian, and have the credit check removedI called GreenSky the following week to follow up on Thomas’s e-mail After talking to the same associate of Jessies’ Thomas’s e-mail said nothing of the kind He stated he had spoken with me on the phone, and I agreed I had given them my social security number for GreenSky to check YIKES At this point you have to wonder if either one of these companies are going to do the right thingI then receive a call from Jessie to advise me they are not withdrawing the hard credit check that GreenSky had done My admission of providing New Power or Dividend Solar with my social security number was reason enough for them not to withdraw the hard credit checkNow I’m pissed Really pissed I told both Jesse, and left Thomas a phone message letting them know I will be filing a complaint with every agency available to me I will take advantage of every social media outlet I have to let the public know what crooks and identity thieves both companies areI called Experian Credit Reporting myself, explained everything that had happened, and Experian removed the hard credit check from my report It was that easy All New Power or GreenSky had to do was call Experian It took maybe five minutes of my time to call Experian, and have this entire fiasco taken care ofSo I am filing this complaint with the Revdex.com, so as no one else has to be bullied, or scammed by these two companies I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, and the Federal Trade Commission suggested I contact the Attorney General, Licensing Contractor agency, and a few others The Federal Trade Commission really urged me to follow through with the other agenciesI have had my identity compromised before with the IRS It is an awful thing to have to straighten out, and for the rest of my life I have to take extra measures with the IRS, and the State of California when filing my taxes, or anything relatedI hope you, the Revdex.com, will take some sort of action from my report, and show New Power and GreenSky they can’t treat people like thisPlease contact me if you have any questions, and thank you in advance for your attention to this matter

My wife and I met with a New Power rep three weeks ago and had a great experienceHe was able to answer all of our crazy questions and explained everything very clearlyIt turns out for us it's cheaper to own our own system than buying power from the utilityOur system is being installed today and we have had a great experience!

I am very pleased with this company! The sales representative was very professional and knowledgable as well as my project managerThey answered all of our questions about going solarI was amazed that the solar panels were installed in only weeks! The savings are exactly as we we're toldEverything and been smooth working with New PowerI can't say enough good

Before newpower installed solar panels on my home months ago, I received bids from several solar companiesI chose Newpower because they were honest and knew what they were talking aboutMy gut told me to go with New Power and I'm glad I didI experienced some permitting complications and they were able to get the job done with minimal time lost My neighbor signed up to get solar from a different company around the same time I did, His didn't pass the first inspection taking him an extra month before he could use his solar power while mine passed with flying colors!
