Review: I took my van in to the dealer on July 2014 for repair because it would only start of it felt like it. We explained we wanted them to check this because we had purchased the vehicle there and felt they could fix it without guessing. They had to keep the vehicle to diagnose the problem and tried checking different things, none of which was the solution. They called us to pick up the vehicle $1,200.00 later and of course we thought all was well. The following day we were back to square one, the van didn't want to start. We called and they said bring it back in. Of course now we had to wait for it to want to start. We had to rent a [redacted] 6 times totaling 330.00 because the van was not available nor fixed as we thought and we needed it. The dealer wanted to charge another 450.00 to see if it was another problem and we had to say no because the guessing game was going to begin again at our expense. By now, we had to wait for them to call is when the van started so we could pick it up. It turned out to be the distributor which cost us 82.00 at the auto parts. Their message on hold talks about their expert technicians yet, I had to pay all this money and added expense because their "expert technicians" could not find the problem within a 3 month span.Desired Settlement: I would like some type of refund or compensation because their inability to live up to their standards caused us unnecessary and additional expenses.

Review: I recently purchased a used BMW from Chevrolet of New Rochelle 3 weeks ago.

I was informed the BMW I purchased was never in an accident by the sales person [redacted] who told me its practically brand new with only 12k miles on it.

After I purchased it I called her regarding a scratch on the windshield which took place when she was cleaning the car for me and she never returned my calls or texts.

I then brought the car 5 days later to an auto body shop to change the color of the exterior paint and they informed me the bumper had been repainted. I immediately called the [redacted] when [redacted] did not answer the phone asking if this car was in an accident. He asked why and I said the auto body shop thinks it was repainted and possibly in an accident. He said its common to paint the bumper if there are scratches. I asked if the car was in an accident and he said he didn't believe so but would find out and call me back. He never called me back. When he didn't call back I called again and he said he was running around and off the next day but would call me on Thursday. [redacted] never called back on Thursday or Friday. I tried [redacted] that week and she also ignored my calls.

The following week I called again and neither of them returned my calls. When I finally got [redacted] on the phone he again said he would have to call me back in 10 minutes and never did. When I called back the next day, I finally got [redacted] to answer the phone and she said she was on vacation last week and that she would find out from [redacted] and get back to me. I asked why she didn't return my texts and she said she changed her phone #. Everything was getting very sketchy! And Again- nobody called me back

When I finally had the time, I called the [redacted] and said I would be coming by. I went into the dealership that night was told [redacted] had left for the day and [redacted] was across the street at the truck department. (he was hiding to avoid seeing me)

When I waited until around closing time he finally arrived and played it off very cool. When I went to his office he starting showing me his computer screen with websites already pulled up with prices and comparisons to my vehicle! I said why are you telling me this? Was it in an accident and he said it was in an accident but the car was a great deal. I said excuse me and he said if you want to trade the car back I would happy to do that at 5k less than I paid! I was fuming mad and asked to speak with the [redacted] about cancelling the transaction and then he began threatening to call the police and asked me to leave the premises. This dealership lied to me and then ignored me for 2 weeks. This is completely unacceptable, unprofessional and I was ripped off. The car was over priced by $5000-$10,000 due to the accident and it doesn't drive properly at high speeds.

I am unsure of what I can do at this time but was hoping you could help.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund in the amount of $5000-$10000 or the contact to be cancelled minus fees I incurred!

Review: I purchased 2014 CHEVY MALIBU on 06/**/2014 with down payment of $5,300.00 in credit card.1) Overcharged Registration Fee: I was charged $75.00 as dealer fee for processing registration and $330.00 for Registration Fee.Actually CT Registration Fee is $95.00 and so I have to be refunded $235.00( $330.00 - $95.00 ).2) Immediate Refund for Extended Warranty Plan Cancellation:The Down Payment of $5,300.00 in credit card included the amount for Extended Car Care Plan. I paid $1,480.00 plus Tax of $113.98 ( CT Tax Rate 6.35% ). I signed the Cancellation Form of the Plan at the Dealership on 07/**/2014. The Business Manager refused immediate refund through my credit card. He said only $1,420.00, excluding paid tax of $113.98 and administration fee of $60.00, will be reflected in my financing.Desired Settlement: Immediate Refund for amount of $1,828.98 through my credit card :I paid down enough in credit card for including Extended Warranty Plan.I have to pay high interest to credit card.I like the taxed amount to be refunded.I want to be paid $235.00 + $1,480.00 + $113.98 = $1,828.98 immediately without reflecting in my financing.

It has come to my attention that there may have been a complaint from [redacted] to Revdex.com. He tells me that he as retracted his complaint with Revdex.com and that the situation has been resolved. I never got a copy of the compliant from Revdex.com, but I’d imagine that it was in relation to the refund of his Service Contact. There was a mix up with the check, and some difficulty in communication with the customer. If you have gotten an e-mail from [redacted] you may understand how communication may be difficult. We don’t have any access to his account with the bank, so we can never know when or if the money is received by the bank. [redacted] informed me this morning that the money has been accounted for under his account, and the issue is resolved. Any further questions or concerns with this matter you can contact me. Thanks.

Review: I am 86 years old and feel that I was taken advantage of by the lease person Rick C[redacted]. I spoke with Rick C[redacted] on 9/** regarding a possible lease and was told I needed to put a deposit of $250 and put the remainder down on Monday 9/**. I did not put the additional money down because I felt that the price he quoted was too high . Although I had not signed any type of lease agreement the $250 was debited from my checking on Monday 9/**. My son had went there on 10/** asking about the money being credited back to my checking. Rick C[redacted] told my son that the women that handles credits was out but if I could come in tomorrow 10/2 and bring my debit card he would credit it back. I came in with my wife and explained that we did not want to lease a car because my grandson was getting us a car. He said he understood and took my debit card and said he would credit it back. It is now 10/* and the credit has not appeared in my checking account.. At my age I need all the money I can get to survive and pay for medications and everyday necessities. Ifeel that this is a disservice to seniors and feel that I was taken advantage of. The deposit should not have been debited from my checking account until an agreement was done. This action was entirely illegal.

Review: New Rochelle Chevrolet sold me an auto warranty policy in an unethical fashion. Regardless, I have since cancelled the policy. New Rochelle Chevrolet has yet to refund the policy as it was supposed to do within the contract. The auto was purchased on 3/**/2015, the warranty contract was cancelled one week later, and New Rochelle Chevrolet has yet to refund the difference and it is now 5/**/15.Desired Settlement: Refund the warranty contract.

The business has responded. Please see below:I HAVE HAD NO DIRECT CONTACT FROM [redacted]. IF HE IS INTERESTED IN CANCELLING HIS SERVICE CONTACT THAT IS NOT A PROBLEM. IN FACT; I RECENTLY GOT A REPORT FROM [redacted](SERVICE CONTRACT COMPANY) STATING THAT HIS CONTACT IS INFACT CANCELLED. IT IS JUST A MATTER OF US SENDING A CHECK TO HIS FINANCE COMPANY. THE MONEY DOES NOT GO BACK TO THE CUSTOMER SINCE HE BORROWED THE MONEY IN HIS FINANCING. NORMALLY THE PROCESS FOR CANCELLATION IS COMING IN AND SIGNING CANCELLATION PAPERWORK. HAVE HIM CONTACT ME AND WE WILL HAPPLY RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I have left countless messages with the finance department, and nobody has returned my call. That clearly answers your response on direct contact.I understand that the money is not owed to me, but in fact it gets directly refunded to my auto loan. That being said , [redacted] told me that the refund should have been posted by the first week of May. That has clearly not occurred even though you have had ample time to do so. Post the credit to the loan company, I have no idea why I even need to speak with you. It is not required in the contract.

Review: Hi,

We have bought a car from New Rochelle Chevrolet on 04/**/2014. We were promised to receive our registration within 30 business days since the temporary registration they provided us expired in 30 days. 30 days past and we did not receive the registration. We kept calling and emailing but weeks past and we still didn't receive it. We then received 3 tickets on 3 different occasions for expired registration. We notified them of this and they told us they will pay for those tickets but so far they were still not paid. Just as a by the way, we had to drive down all the way to the dealer and take off a day of work to show them how serious we are and that we dont want to drive around with expired registration. After waiting 9 hours, they had one of their employees go down to the DMV and they finally gave us the registration.

On a separate note, We were promised to receive 2 keys for the vehicle. We only received one. [redacted], the salesman, promised us that if they cannot get the key from it's oringal owner by a certain date, New rochelle will pay to produce a new key. We have emails from [redacted] to prove that New Rochelle will pay for the tickets and provide us the key by a certain date.Desired Settlement: Again as of now, the tickets have penalties and have not been paid for yet and we still don't have the second key.

We would like to get the funds to replace the 2nd key that New Rochelle doesn't have and we would like for them to pay our tickets due to their negligence of not providing us with the registration so that our car does not get towed. I f it does get towed, we will hold them responsible.

Please help us out since we have tried calling and emailing numerous times but they are simply ignoring and not taking care of this issue. We have proof of all this via email but not sure where we can submit it.

We thank you for your help.

Business

Response:

The business has responded by stating:

The parking tickets have been handled. In addition we let the customer go to a local dealership to get the key and we paid for it. I also just learned that the customer stopped payment on a $500 downpayment that was put on a American Express Credit Card. The customers complaints have been handled, and we are out $500.

Hi,

All tickets have not been handled.

Please see the attached notice we received in the mail.

If you call up or check online you will see they weren't paid.

Please help.

Response:

This needs further review by us.... initial complaint indicated a key issue and some tickets for unregistered vehicle although registration was sent to customer. We indicated we would take care of same.

Customer went to other dealer off brand vehicle and had key made ..we paid this bill.

Additionally we paid some tickets as a courtesy...not because we were obligated as registration had been sent to customer in the proper time period.

As a slap in the face the customer has put a stop payment on their American Express card payment for 600.00

We will revisit any open issues once we resolve the American Express payment. American Express has charged us back.

Review: Below is a copy of an email I sent to the company on Tuesday May [redacted] to the 4 email addresses I found on their service page of their website, one being their service manager of whom I have not yet met and 2 of which I have spoken to regarding this issue. As of this point in time 48 hours + later, I have not received any reply from any of the 4?

From this point on I wish to have no further dealings with New Rochelle Chevrolet, am seeking a full refund for both invoices including parts and labor and will take my business to another Chevrolet dealer who might have more respect for their clients..

Chevrolet New Rochelle

This is a follow up to the conversation I had with Mr. Dennis C[redacted]. Assistant Service Manager of Chevrolet, New Rochelle, [redacted] inside my Chevy Suburban truck today 5/**/15 regarding recent attempts to service a particular issue with my truck. On 11/**/14 the truck was in for various items to be done and one of the items replaced was the rear transmission-stud. On driving out of the garage I noticed a bad humming/vibration noise/feel coming from the truck and I immediately drove around the block and called for the tech to come look at it and he noticed the same. I told them I would get the truck back in when I had the chance. I was heading to FL next day for a few weeks and decided at last minute to fly down instead of drive as I was concerned about the issue.

When I returned and eventually got round to bringing in the truck I left it with them for a day. When I went in to collect it in the evening, I was told that they replaced the transmission mount-stud that had been replaced the last time since the trouble began. I was also told the the noise was 80% cured and that I needed to replace both engine mounts to cure the issue completely. Over the course of the next few days I noticed the issue getting progressively worse so I decided to take the truck in on Friday May [redacted] and leave it with them for the week while I went to FL. Upon my return today I picked up the truck today at a cost of $956 which included labor/parts/oil change at $576/$303 and $43.90 respectively. The service noted previously was labor/parts $312.50 and $66.33 respectively.

Again when I drove out of the garage and on my way to Yonkers to pick up something I noticed that the truck was the same as it was when I left it in the previous week. At this point I am furious as having spent all the above money and I still had the exact same problem as before I left it in to the shop and as far as I was concerned, an issue that developed in the care of Chevrolet New Rochelle. I did what I had to do in Yonkers and returned to Chevrolet New Rochelle as I was passing back that way on route to New Canaan, CT. The agent I had been dealing with all this time Mark was out to lunch and I left my number with the desk to have him call me immediately on his return from lunch, of which he did. When speaking to Mark, I told him I would drive down from CT immediately as I wanted this mess sorted out ASAP.

Arriving in New Rochelle, I met with Mark and he called Mr. C[redacted] out to the yard and we had the discussion which has let to this. Now I am being let to believe that the issue might be related to the air conditioner as I was shown that the sound/vibration gets less when the AC is turned off. This is quite a different road than the one taken to the mounts and studs?

I explained to Mr. C[redacted] that I have been a good customer of Chevrolet New Rochelle for many years having always taken my business there. I explained that I understand fully that parts get worn especially in the older models so I would not look for compensation on those at the moment. I did however say that I would expect to be refunded for any labor I had paid for especially since it was an issue that began in their care and that twice I was told that it was a certain issue and that replacement of such would cure the problem. Well guess what, it hasn't! At this point I am asking for a refund for the labor in the amount of $576 and $312.50. Again as I note above I do not wish to look for reimbursement at this point for the parts but if I have to start a case with the Revdex.com then I will look for it, due to the fact that this is going to take up a lot of my time doing so. When I said all of above to Mr. C[redacted] he said lets just concentrate on getting it sorted out first but now I am concerned more. I can state my case that the new parts did NOT repair the issue so therefore they quite possibly may not have been needed!

I want to give Chevrolet New Rochelle every chance to restore their faith and trust with me and I suggested that I bring my truck back in on or around Tuesday June [redacted]but at this point before I proceed any further I would like to know what they intend doing about the above suggestions I am making. I would like to have their reply in return writing before I decide on what I want to do next.. I have been very patient with this so far..

Thank you [redacted]Desired Settlement: I am holding them responsible at this point for causing the issue with my car. It went in for a minor issue and was returned back to me in its current state. I am seeking the value of both invoices as I stated above I would be doing if I had to contact the Revdex.com. $417.06 + $956.96 = $1374.02.

Response:

Owner of the vehicle had an appointment for 6/*/15 at 9:00am , he never showed up for. The vehicle is question is a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban with 134,199 miles. 12 years old. Old high mileage vehicles like this one can have multiple issues. One item can be repaired one day and other unrelated issues can pop up days later. The analogy I often use with customers is you can perform a heart transplant on a 75 year old man , but he is still a 75 years old man, you may be only extending his life a very short time. He brought his vehicle in on 11/*/14 to repair a "check engine light" issue, we found his Catalytic Converter failed. While we were performing this repair we noticed that his transmission mount was broken apart and rusted. Being that this mount was being removed during the Converter replacement We recommended that it be replace now as it would be no addition labor just the price of the part which was $66.33 see ro#[redacted] 11/*/14. The labor and additional parts billed on this work order were for replacement of the Catalytic converter. Owner return on 3/**/15 ro#[redacted], 4 months later and had put 2,157 miles on vehicle. Was he in Florida for 4 months and how did it get 2,157 miles if he did not drive it? We examined vehicle and found that the mount we installed was stiffer than it should be so we replaced it at no charge and advised owner that the slight remaining vibration was probably due to normal wear and age of vehicle and also that engine mounts have a lot of wear. Again reminding him of age and miles on vehicle. We replaced his motor mounts at his request on 5/**/15 ro#[redacted] . We no longer felt any vibration and vehicle was certainly performing better than most vehicle of this age and miles. Owner now complaining vibration still there. No abnormal vibration felt by us at all. If air conditioning is turned on and engines rpm is reved up you get the normal humming noise that air conditioning makes when it cycles. Owner has unrealistic expectations that because he spent this money the vehicle it will now be perfect and operate like a brand new car. Its 12 years old and has 134,000 miles no amount of repair work will change that. This may be a case of buyer's remorse were the owner feels the money would have been better spend towards the purchase of a new car. If the owner is interested in a trade in we certainly could apply the money put into the vehicle (which he would trade in) towards a new vehicle purchase. We will not be reimbursing the owners request of $1374.02 as we did nothing wrong. Attached are copies of work orders and missed appointment noted in above response. Thank You, Brian C[redacted] Service Manager New Rochelle Chevrolet ###-###-#### [redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

WOW, there is actually a reply from the company after 2 months. Very much like when I gave them the opportunity to repsond to my email that I cc'd four of the staff in service dept on May [redacted], I am still waiting for a reply to that email from any of the four people.. I clearly stated in the complaint that was filed with The Revdex.com on May [redacted] that I did not want or wish to have any further dealing with New Rochelle Chevrolet due to their serious lack of being able to resolve the issues in my car and also due to their lack of response regarding the issues.I don't think it's really any of their business what I do with my time in Florida or how mileage is put up on my car, but to answer, I am a business person with a business in NY and living in FL. I clearly travel up and down and drive my truck when I am here. I also stated that I brought the truck in the first chance I got.. One thing I do not have when I am up here for a few days at a time is the time to be running in and out of New Rochelle Chevrolet so they can take a guess at whats wrong with my truck and hope it is repaired each time. Clearely that had several opportunities to do so but still couldn't get it right. Might I also remind you that I stated that this issue of vibrating was originally caused while my truck was in your care....There were no MULTIPLE ISSUES with my 12 year old truck, it was the SAME ISSUE from the first time I complained about it if you understood the complaint. I also stated somewhere in there that I was well aware that it was 13 years old and for that reason would not ask or look for a refund on those parts, IF you were willing to refund me on the labor and ONLY if you responded to me before I went to the Revdex.com with this. Again I am very well aware this is a 12 year old truck and all along wasn't looking for reimbursement for parts but you keep replacing the wrong ones and the truck has the exact same issue. The catalytic convertor is not in question here, nor is the check engine light, nor is anything else, what is is the vibrating in the truck that was caused by your company when the catalytic convertor was replaced.Did you also see in my complaint that I stated they replaced the transmission mount stud that they replaced the last time. Then you told me that both engine mounts needed to be replaced to cure the issue completely? So going on their advice I brought the truck back in to have them replaced while I returned to FL for a week. Its all there in the report, when I picked up the truck after returning, I brought it back the same day with the same issue still there. THE SAME ISSUE!!!! I don't know how someone can sit there and make up excuses when it's the same issue that's still there, why would I bring the truck back into you, so you can charge me more money and still have the same issues. It clearly states at the bottom of the report to Revdex.com that I was willing to give New Rochelle Chevrolet every chance but you just didn't reply when I gave you the opportunity to do so. I am very realistic with my expectations in that when I pay money to have an issue repaired and it's not, well I think a very appropriate word here would be FRAUD .. What are you taking about, buyers remorse? I certainly will never deal with your company again and I have no intentions of buying a new one, especially from you. That's why I left it in with you so I could have it repaired and KEEP it..!!You can say all you want, make whatever excuses you want, the fact of the matter is for me anyway you have a horrible service department that had several attempts to resolve my ONE ISSUE and I hope many people get to read this and respectfully opt to not bring their vehicles there...!!!!FRAU FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD NEW ROCHELLE CHEVROLET CHEVY NEW ROCHELLE FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD ...
