Review: I enrolled my daughter in the Saifish competitive swim team at the YMCA in [redacted] on September of 2013. I paid $1045 ($845 + $200 registration) for the Bronze team from September 2013 to July 2014. The team practices for 11 months (4 times a week) and takes off in August. The monthly tuition comes out to $95.

The facility has many issues with safety that parents have been concerned about. I came to know on May [redacted] that On May [redacted] my daughters swim squad (the Bronze team) practiced in the pool for an hour with a chorine level of zero. The aquatics coordinator emailed the swim parents with this information. Kids swimming with a zero chlorine level, along with all the other issues in the facility, I decided to withdraw my daughter from this swim team for safety concerns.

I have requested a prorated refund for the remaining three months. I have contacted the [redacted] of the YMCA [redacted] and have not received a response. Sue Odierna, the Senior Program [redacted] contacted me and said that I will only be refunded for two months ($190). Her reasoning is that the registration fee cannot be refunded but she added it to my refund and as such I can only be refunded for two months. Furthermore, she claims since my daughter attended one class in May she cannot refund any monies for May. The monthly amount owed to me is $95 dollars. The contract/Agreement I signed does not state the registration fee is not refundable. The contract also doesn't mention that once a student attends one class that months fees are not refundable. As a matter of fact the agreement doesn’t mention anything about refunds at all. As a single parent $95 is not a negligible amount to me. I am simply requesting a refund of the monies I timely paid and didn't get any service for. I sincerely wish the Revdex.com can assist the New Rochelle YMCA with fulfilling my request.Desired Settlement: I am requesting the YMCA to refund me $95 for the tuition I paid
