New Seoul Cleaners

Review: I dropped off 2 overcoats and 12 shirts to the dry cleaner in the beginning of the month of October. They were ready to be picked up on the 10/**/13 by 5pm. I normally get my clothing in a timely fashion but for the following two or three weeks I was at work until really late each night of the week because of deadlines and because I was leaving the country for an extended period of time.

My plan was to pick up my dry cleaning on Friday November **since I was scheduled to leave for vacation on Saturday the 2nd early in the morning however I was unaware at the time that his store would be shutting down for good on Thursday 10/**/13. The owner of the store did make 2 attempts to contact me the week of his store closing and he left me 2 voice messages on my cell phone. 1 was on Wednesday 10/**/13 at around 12 noon and the other was on Thursday 10/**/13. In both messages he explained that his store would be closing and that I needed to get my clothing from his store ASAP. The number he left for me to reach him was the phone number of his store.

As I mentioned earlier, I was extremely busy since I was trying to hit my deadlines at work. As a result, I unknowingly missed both of his calls. On that Friday when I left work early to pick up my clothes, his store was already shut down. At that point I still hadn't heard the voicemail messages and assumed he didn't open up that day for a particular reason possibly personal. I then planned on getting my stuff upon my return from my 2 week vacation. While at the airpoirt I finally heard both messages that he left me 2 days and 1 day prior to his store closing. Please note that the only call back number he left was that of the store which was now disconnected.

After returning from vacation, I got in touch with the owner of the property who put me in touch with the super of the building who was kind enough to let me in to the store to retrieve my belongings. When I arrived there were items still in the store but unfortunately none of them were mine. It seemed as if he took anything worth some value and left all of the older and not so valuable belongings. It has been approximately 2 months since his store has closed and he has not tried to contact me again and the only number I have for him is to his prior store location.Desired Settlement: I would like my belongings back or the value of my items paid to me.
