Newstyles Beauty supply ([redacted]family inc.) is a retail store engaged in a resell of beauty supplies and does not engaged in providing services such as braiding and hair dressing...

However Newstyles Beauty supply ([redacted]family inc.) has rented a section of the store in the back that provides hair braiding services to customers.Newstyles Beauty Supply ([redacted]family inc.) is dedicated to providing excellent customer service to its customers and takes all customer complaints seriously and investigates throughly. Regarding this matter we have investigated and found out that:The complainant had done her hair braided by a Braider named [redacted] on 06/25/2014. The Braider stated that before providing service to the complainant she had given advise to complaint that her hair was not long enough for the style she had chosen. The complainant insisted on doing the style and the braider further advised her that the style will not last on her hair because her hair was too short. The braider further stated that she could not deny her service and went ahead and provided the service.
On 06/30/2014 the complainant came back to the store and complained that her braids had started coming out. In other to make her happy, the Braider added more braids to her hair for no fees and reminded her the adivise she had given her before providing service.
On 07/08/2014 the complainant came back and demanded back the $150 she had paid with threats and foul languages.The complainant was verbally abusive and engaged in threatening remarks. As a courtesy, the Braider was willing to refund $150 but with the condition that the braids be remove, but the Complainant would not accoept the braids be remove and became even more arrogant.
The Braiders refund policy stated that: "Absolutely No REFUND on all braiding and weaving service." w In this case the complainant paid after completely satisfied with the service and kept the braids on her hair for almost 2 weeks before asking for refund. Therefore the complainnant is not entitle to any refunds.

Review: This store and their customer service is HORRIBLE!!! I got my hair braided by the worst hair braider EVER......I got my hair braided on 06/25/2014 and had to return back to the filthy shop on 06/30/2014 because braids had fallen out. She supposedly fixed the issue....NOT..... Double if not triple the braids came out including the front....Highly upset I asked for my $150 back on 07/08/2014. Fatou told me to come get it in the morning, got there she was nowhere to be found and neither was my money. I came back and I was directed to the lady who braided my hair and not Fatou, They tried to force me to allow them to cut the remainder of my braids out, I refused and demanded my money back. Mawyatou C[redacted] got very loud with me and told me in order to get my money they have to take my hair out. He got in my face yelling and told me to leave the store and I wouldn't receive my money back. I refused.....He then called the police on me which was a waste of their time....Now im suing....DONT GODesired Settlement: $177.51....for the amount that I paid for the hair and what I paid to get my hair braided.
