New Trend Hair Salon Reviews (1)

Review: I went to have my hair colored on Friday 3/27/15. I showed the stylist a picture on social media and she told me she would be able to do what I wanted. The stylist did the complete opposite. I went back the next day to have it corrected. I spent a total of 7 1/2 hours at the salon and the end result was not what I wanted. I was harassed by staff through text messages calling me rude because I did not accept a product from my stylist. She offered to buy me products, but I denied because I did not want her to have to use her own money. I attempted to contact management that following Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday and each time was left with an empty promise that I would receive a phone call with a resolution. Today, 4/2/15 I was contacted by management & told that I am not welcome back in the salon and that my efforts to contact Revdex.com will fail due to their successful cases in the past. They told me that they watched surveillance of me at the salon and I "looked" happy. That is in fact not the case. I left with my hair completely wet and almost in tears. Also, they are shaming me on social media and harassing me. Coming from a business perspective, I find this highly unprofessional. I did not even give my consent to have my picture on their page. They have their staff attacking me and all of their friends now too - publicly.Desired Settlement: Due to their staff shaming me on social media, I do not feel safe or comfortable going back to the establishment. I had originally wanted the job re done so my hair was the outcome I had originally asked for. Now, I would like a refund. I was not provided with the services I was promised and on top of that, I am being harassed by a business/ establishment. I also want my picture taken off of their social media sight.

Response:

[redacted] originally came into our salon with darker, brassy colored hair (Picture #1). During the consultation with [redacted], she presented a picture that had a dark root and pale blonde throughout the rest of her hair. [redacted] did not at any point tell her it was a definite that her hair would match the desired picture. She did inform her that she would do her best to get her as close to that picture as possible without compromising the integrity of her hair. When she left on Friday, she then decided that night to contact [redacted] via lnstagram (Direct Messaging) at around OPM, instead of notifying the salon (front desk) in the morning. [redacted] did use profanity in these direct messages thus making [redacted] uncomfortable to the point where she blocked her completely on lnstagram.Plans were made for [redacted] to return on Saturday with [redacted] to have her hair redone. [redacted] had to remove other clients off of her book in order to accommodate [redacted] then did a full foil to lighten the color (Picture #2). After she was shampooed, and blow-dryed [redacted] went back in and added a few foils in the top to lighten around her face (Picture #3). Upon her leaving, [redacted] attempted to give her products because she felt so awful about this client being so displeased. [redacted] then declined. After [redacted] left she again direct messaged [redacted] (Picture #4). Note her first sentence " Ok so 1) Ineed and want to thank you unconditionally for putting in all that work & effort and actually caring that I left happy." Then her second sentence states "It really does mean a lot that you cared to fix it..." On Saturday,a few hours after [redacted] left she posted a "selfie" on her PUBLIC lnstagram page (Picture #5). From there she started the lnstagram slandering and it continued through the week. She seemed upset at the fact that [redacted] had blocked her.She stated that she "attempted" to contact management. I, [redacted], Manager at New Trend Hair sa lon spoke with [redacted] on Monday March 301h. She lodged a complaint against a separate stylist, [redacted], that had text messaged [redacted] while in the salon. [redacted] and [redacted] have been acquaintances since 2005, [redacted] did not receive [redacted]'s phone number through New Trend Hair Salon. Non the less I had spoken with [redacted] and informed her that this is not appropriate behavior and it would not be tolerated. When speaking with [redacted] she praised [redacted] and had nothing negative to say about her or the work that was done on her hair.[redacted] continued to call salon demanding to speak with the owner, not management that she had previously spoken with . The owner was out of the country until Monday. Tuesday the owner was out sick, but despite her ailments I called to notify her about the events. She then reviewed the surveillancetapes, direct message conversations, and text messages. On Wednesday, [redacted] called again threatening to call and come in everyday until she got resolution. [redacted] told the receptionist that answered that phone call that she didn't wish to speak with management again, she wanted the owner. She mentioned taking this matter to the Revdex.com. I spoke with the owner later that day and she informed me I was to call [redacted] and inform her that she was no longer allowed in our salon due to her slandering the salon via social media. I,then, called her on Thursday and told her she was not welcome back and I did inform her that we would be more than happy to cooperate with the Revdex.com. This seemed to enrage [redacted] and she returned to lnstagram and continued to degrade our stylists (Picture 6,7,8,9}. Then the owner decided the harassment had gone on long enough and it only seemed to be getting worse. [redacted] even went as far as to say derogatory comments to clients that tried to give positive input (Picture 10).All that was posted of [redacted] on the New Trend lnstagram page was her own written apology to [redacted] and pictures from her PUBLIC lnstagram page (Picture 11). [redacted] at no point asked us to remove any of it. We have a picture from her page that she posted 6 days prior to having her hair done, along with her Saturday selfie that she posted. Clearly her hair is pale blonde. She did receive a redo, her phone calls did not go unanswered, and she did nothing but harass and slander us on social media. Our policy states, on signs around the salon and on our website, that refunds will not be issued. [redacted] also bragged about harassing previous salons to the point of getting refunds while she was here on Friday for her initial visit. She claimed that she's always unhappy with her hair, and that no stylist ever gets it right. We are more than happy to cooperate with the Revdex.com, we can produce more pictures if necessary as well as a written statement from the stylist herself. In the event that this casebecomes closed we will remove everything from our social media page
