Dear ***, Yes the work in the kitchen ceiling was not completed by us, neither were we paid for itThe work completed by us: Emergency call on a Saturday morning($300.00) Drying out of ceiling using air movers and dehumidifier($550.00) Installation of shut off valve on toilet($150.00) Repair of toilet, installation of new fill valve($250.00) Demo of affected ceiling and hanging of shreetrock($300.00) As the home owner stated, we were only paid $750.00, the remainder of the original agreement, $1,we were not paidThe ***' complaint is about the ceiling being incompleteThe remaining money was more than enough to have that done and any "refund" would not be feasible seeing we completed more than we were compensated forThank you Alonzo F*

We are requesting a refund of $of the amount we have already paid of $We are looking for just the amount to finish the work with another companySince we were advised $is a fair price for the plumbing we want to be sure to be fairWe allowed $for supplies which is more than
fair

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We never lied about the type of flooring. Thee insurance asked us about the BATHROOM floor as we made it clear there was NO damage to the kitchen floor outside of 1 tile being lifted due to the water. We stated we would replace the tile ourselves. We left numerous messages ffor the partner and when he wouldn't respond my wife called the owner very upset that the work was still not complete. He also did not return her calls. As far as complaining about the work, both gentleman came after the initial fix and told us the ceiling would be repaired flat. It was not as they both saw during their walk through. As for us going on vacation, yes, spring break April 23. As stated in the ownners response we contacted themin the beginning of April. Regards,  [redacted]

I was contacted by Mr. [redacted] about a leak coming from his kitchen ceiling on April 9th, 2016, I was in Maryland at the time but got my partner Devron to make and emergency service call to their home.  Devron opened the ceiling above their refridgerator and found the leak, a worn brass p-trap.  A repair of the pipe was made and the home owners were informed that a portion of the remaining ceiling was wet and would need to come down and the wood structure dried out before the ceiling could be repaired.  Air movers and dehumidifiers were brought in to dry it out.   Sunday Devron went by to check on the machines and monitor the drying.  Monday we returned and removed the machines and began the repair to the ceiling. We were at that time asked if we could look at and repair their toilet.  the toilet needed a new fill valve and a shut off valve, that was done and new sheetrock was installed in the kitchen ceiling by the person we had hired to install the sheet rock and to tape it. By Wensday he had it first and second coated. We were then told to stop working because they had called their insurance carrier so we did. I was contacted a few days later by the insurance and asked about the work done. I informed them what we did and they asked me what type of flooring was in the kitchen. I told them vinyl tile. They said they were told by the owner ceramic tile and told them no, vinyl. this made me a little uneasy because lying to the insurance is fraud and we will not be a party to that. I was asked if the $1750.00 we were charging included the painting and I told her no. She asked how much for the painting and I said $300.00.  She ask if $2050.00 was the total price and I said yes. The [redacted] informed us that they were going on vacation the following week but we could come work Saturday and Sunday.  We informed them we would see them when they got back.  When they returned our hire got back up there to complete his work.  We purchased the paint and he painted the ceiling the first coat. Mrs. [redacted] complained about the finish and we asked our hire to address it. All work had to be done around Mr. [redacted]' work schedule when he could be there. Our hire did miss two appointments and we attempted to hire someone else but there was schedule conflcts. I called Mr. [redacted] myself but got no answer or return call.  There was over a thousand dollars ($1,000.00) left on the job plus paint and joint compound, more than enough to hire someone else to complete the job to their liking. If you need anything else, please feel free to contact me.  Alonzo F[redacted]
