New World Hotel

Review: Me and my partner booked and paid for a double room with a double bed as advertised by the New World Hotel booked through [redacted] on the internet on Tuesday ** Oct 2013 to stay at New World Hotel from Thurs [redacted] Oct 20133 until to Mon [redacted] 2013, we had drove from Cleaveland Ohio for a visit to New York. Upon arrival to the New World Hotel we was asked to complete payment for the room before we saw it as we did ask to view the room before hand. To our surprise when we paid and then went to the room it was nothing that like what was advertised on their web site first of all I noticed the room key number was different from the room number on the Itinerary so that immediately aroused my suspicions that they where giving us another room other than the room we paid for which was not like the one pictured on their web site page. The first thing we saw was the bed was a single bed and they expected two people to sleep on which wasn't satisfactory and they was trying to say that it was a double, there was no room space for our luggage as the room was a box room also the hygiene state of the room and bathrooms was very poor as potentially a heath hazard as they stated they are clean regularly which did not look that way at all, also there was no phone or communication utilities in the room like as they advertised in their description on their web site. I had to speak to the manager over the phone from the reception desk about these problems but he basically refused to offer another room or to issue a refund as I told him I'm not getting what I paid for and list the things that was wrong, there was no one else I could turn to but the man at the reception who wasn't very helpful at all he just said the same . I was totally disappointed and disgusted with the way we were treated as guest been ripped off after we didn't get what we was paying for and it was very unfair to be treated in that way. So the same evening me and my partner had to searched and book for an alternative hotel accommodation because we just couldn't stay at there at the New World Hotel due to the fact we wasn't getting what we paid for in which I have all the documentation for also I have pictures I taken of the New World Hotel room in which we can summit if needed.Desired Settlement: A full refund of the amount £200.00 + A transaction conversion charge of £5.50 from from the credit card issuer the total price charged and some sort of compensation for wrongfully misleading advertising which caused Inconvenience and distress to me and my partner.

Review: This problem has been since february 2013. They doubly charged me for one night, instead of only being charged for one night, they have charged me two nights for one night stay.Desired Settlement: I just want them to email my credit card company I used from Philippines and do a reversal of the charges as this has led for me to get continuous charges to my credit card since they have not reversed it.
