I am very sorry this happenedI personally saw the rear brakes on this truckThey not only far surpassed New York State inspection, but they were in excellent shape, a caliper seized while drivingA caliper is like a light bulb; you cannot tell when one is going to stop working, there is no way
to predict thatI wish the client would have brought the truck back to me, even though he was out of NY State warranty, I would have helped him like I help every customerI was not even given the opportunity to see what exactly happened to their trucks rear brakesHe states his shop is reputable, however a caliper is $65.00, a rotor is $So not being given an opportunity to help this client, before he over-paid I understand his frustrationEven though he was out of warranty I will offer to pay for the caliper at our cost $rotor $and the brake pads at $49.00, as goodwillThank you The Auto Store John M., Manager Copy of Limited Warranty attached
To Whom It May Concern: Regarding complaint #***: The vehicle was in our shop after the customer picked it up forownershipWe had a copy of the service center's list of needed repairs.#We could not duplicate any of the concerns.#One concern was exhaust- a non-warranty item, as noted
in the New York State warranty formssigned by the customer.#The customer came back with a new list of concernsCustomer stated that tires did not pass NewYork State InspectionI personally check the tires with my inspectorThey absolutely passedI replacedall four tires because they could have been considered less than 50% tread lifeI did this for customersatisfaction and good willI have gone above and beyond what the State requires and I always do.Customer received $set of tires for freeIf any covered repair needed to be completed by me, itsurely would have beenI respect my customers, however when an year old car has 90,miles, theclient needs to understand it is not a new carI always go above and beyond for all my clients, especiallythese kidsThank you, John F*, General Manager
