Review: I held a birthday party for my wife on Saturday January **, 2015, we checked all of our items in at the coat check, when I received my coat back, my wallet was missing and I was told they are not responsible for what was in my coat and I would assume when you check your coat into coat check that it is safe, at least safer than leaving it laying around, they were very rude about helping locate the wallet and said that the wallet was not in my coat when I checked it in, how would they know that? I know this may be my word against theirs but I would not waste time filing a complaint if this was not the case, besides it being an expensive wallet I have my $250 LIRR pass in the wallet. I find this very unprofessional and I would like to have this noted, this has never happened to me anywhere and this is very upsetting.Desired Settlement: First and formost I am asking for my wallet to be returned if not, I want a full refund for the event I paid for which would be $397, I am planning on following up with criminal charges if this is not handled properly, in my opinion this is considered a crime/theft someone needs to be held responsible for this.
