Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
The response from N.YBuilders and Energy Solutions is inaccurateI would like this opportunity to respond to their statements; First of all my father did not call their office, N.YBuilders and Energy Solutions solicited my fatherSecondly I learned of the cost of the painting job four days after the painters started and immediately complained to Bill L*** of N.YBuilders and Energy SolutionsI was also upset about my father paying the bill in full before the job was finished (three days into painting job paid in full for $16,for a sqftcape house with no soffet or facia painting)As far as N.YBuilders and Energy Solutions statement about "other estimates", I would like to respond; My father is years old and in May of he asked me to get two estimates for painting his house in which I did for the amounts of $6,- $6,which I felt was fairBut at the time he felt he was not ready to take on the commitment to paint his houseThen in October of N.YBuilders and Energy Solutions solicited my father for work.
In response to N.Y Builders and Energy Solutions gesture of "good faith", there was no gesture of good faith! I called Bill L*** for three months (over phone calls with one call back), and yes he did discuss a credit but with no talk of money certainly no $ 2,500.00, and who would have a contractor come back and do more work even with a credit when the customer is not satisfied? Why not a cash credit? if in good faith?
Finally, as far as landscaping, my father told me he did not authorize any removal of landscaping and it does not state in the contract for any removal of landscaping or an amendment for any removal of landscapingAll the bushes and shrubs on the side of the house were hacked down and half the bushes in front of the houseMy mother tended to those shrubs and bushes (my mother passed in 2009) and my father would never allow someone to cut the bushes around the house to the ground*** ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The response from N.Y. Builders and Energy Solutions is inaccurate. I would like this opportunity to respond to their statements; First of all my father did not call their office, N.Y. Builders and Energy Solutions solicited my father. Secondly I learned of the cost of the painting job four days after the painters started and immediately complained to Bill L[redacted] of N.Y. Builders and Energy Solutions. I was also upset about my father paying the bill in full before the job was finished (three days into painting job paid in full for $16,550 for a 1400 sq. ft. cape house with no soffet or facia painting). As far as N.Y. Builders and Energy Solutions statement about "other estimates", I would like to respond; My father is 78 years old and in May of 2015 he asked me to get two estimates for painting his house in which I did for the amounts of $6,400 - $6,600 which I felt was fair. But at the time he felt he was not ready to take on the commitment to paint his house. Then in October of 2015 N.Y. Builders and Energy Solutions solicited my father for work. In response to N.Y Builders and Energy Solutions gesture of "good faith", there was no gesture of good faith! I called Bill L[redacted] for three months (over 20 phone calls with one call back), and yes he did discuss a credit but with no talk of money certainly no $ 2,500.00, and who would have a contractor come back and do more work even with a credit when the customer is not satisfied? Why not a cash credit? if in good faith? Finally, as far as landscaping, my father told me he did not authorize any removal of landscaping and it does not state in the contract for any removal of landscaping or an amendment for any removal of landscaping. All the bushes and shrubs on the side of the house were hacked down and half the bushes in front of the house. My mother tended to those shrubs and bushes (my mother passed in 2009) and my father would never allow someone to cut the bushes around the house to the ground.[redacted]

In response to complaint from homeowner’s son we state following:  a...

representative had met with [redacted] on 10/**/2015. At this time a price was left with [redacted]  on 10/**/2015 [redacted] had called our office stating he wanted to go to contract with New York Builders. [redacted]’s son was aware of this contract and at job on numerous occasions to check on work progress. It was only until job was completed about a one week later that the issue of overcharging was brought to our attention. The Homeowner’s son, Lars also states that he had two estimates for substantially less. Our question is, then why didn’t he go with another contractor?

As a gesture of good faith we had offered the homeowner’s son a $2500.00 credit towards any work they might be interested in doing and we were refused. This job reflects the price given to said homeowner. Additionally , paint color charts were given to customer to choose color and bushes were removed at customer’s  request and direction and to benefit the work in progress and  also to eliminate shade spots which can increase moss and deterioration to house siding
