Review: Dear Sir or Madam:On March **, 2014, a gift certifcate (#[redacted]) in the amount of $55.00 was purchased from New Classic Foot Spa. On March **, 2014 a second gift certificate (#[redacted]) was in the amount of $55.00.For a total of $110.00. Both were birthday gifts for my wife and I.New Classic Foot Spa[redacted]###-###-####On July **, 2014 both my wife and I went into Classic Foot Spa to redeem our gift certificates and we we're told by the [redacted] that he took over business in April 2014. Consequenrtly, they (the supposed new owner) would neither honor the gift certificates or issue a refund for $110.00.The business is now doing business as New ClassicYork Foot Spa at the same location.I do not know that law, but I assume if this business was transferred to a new owner, then the new owner would also need to honor previously purchased gift certificates.Any help you can provide in this matter would be greatly appreciated.Desired Settlement: We would like to receive a refund for the total amount of the gift certificates.
