Review: In December 2012. [redacted], the owner of New York Comet, came to my home to reglaze a tub. He told me it would take 24 hours to dry and not to use the tub during that time. At the time he completed the reglazing, I pointed out some areas that needed to be corrected. He told me to contact him after it dried and he would fix it. I contacted him after three more days and he made an appointment to return, but did not show up. I and my family did not use the tub for one week. Two weeks later my wife noticed that some of the paint already began to peel. His flyer said that his work was guaranteed money back for six months. For the more than six months I called him, and he would promise to come to fix the issues, but never showed up. The problem grew progressively worse and worse and after a month, I called him again to schedule an appointment , but he told me that his van had been towed for tickets! I found bits of paint in my children's wash cloths and had to take measures to prevent them from using the tub. I communicated this to [redacted] through more than five calls. Each time he promised to come out at a particular time, but the one time he came in May, he came empty handed! His excuse that time was that his team was too busy to fit me in. He said he would take a sample to test the paint, because this had never happened with any of his clients before. Of course, I don't believe him as far as I can see him. Nevertheless, I didn't see him take a sample of the paint, and he never followed through. From that time more excuses. After 7 months the tub looks worse than it did when I contacted him to come and reglaze the tub! [redacted], and his company New York Comet, Inc. have endangered my family for more than six months. God knows what my family has been exposed to due to his negligence. I don't trust him to repair his own work. I will need to hire someone else to reglaze the entire tub all over again.Desired Settlement: I paid [redacted] 255.00 cash. I want to be paid back $255.00 cash.
