Review: I was told by my recruiter, [redacted], the job agency were looking to employ people with no bar tending or serving experience. If I paid 350$ in cash they would provide me with a certificate, training, and a job with an hourly wage of 10-12$ plus tips. Once I paid them the full 350$, [redacted] stopped coming to the office and I lost contact with her. My new recruiter, [redacted], then scheduled me for an interview with a strip club. However, when I spoke to the manager of the club he told me that he never spoke to [redacted] because he doesn't use agencies for employing his workers and that he never scheduled an interview with me. And since I've emailed [redacted] about that she hasn't emailed me back with any new interviews.Desired Settlement: I really just want my money back because I have a mixology certificate and I never received the training for it. This certificate is faulty and I would like to be reimbursed for it. They gave me receipts so I have proof of payment.

Review: SCAM. They're selling "servers licences" which don't exist. They also do that security job setup scam. I'm trying to get the [redacted] precinct involved asapDesired Settlement: $80 "deposit" must be refunded asap.paid $80 for a "servers licences", when I found out it's fake, they said the $80 is a deposit, out of $280, and it's non-refundable.

Review: Hi, my name is [redacted]. I went to the Exclusive Nightclub Corporation at [redacted]. Everything about my experience was confusing and seemed off. I found the add on [redacted] and applied because I just moved here from Michigan. On the phone I talked to an assistant named [redacted] and she told me to come in for an interview. She stated that in order to work in any of their bars, I would need to obtain a mixology license. She stated that in New York a license could be up to $750 and that this company could do it for $175. She also told me to come to the interview with the money just in case it worked out. I came into the interview and [redacted] was the person in charge. He, very shortly might I add, talked to me. He then proceeded to take my social security card and license. Then came the payment. I was then told as he was writing the receipt that it was a DEPOSIT of $175 and that the total would actually be $400. This is considered baiting customers. According to the New York Consumer Rights laws, this is an illegal practice. It is unfair to people who are not good at bargaining, and I was caught off guard. He then asked me when I could bring the extra $225 and I said that I wasn't sure, probably after I started working. He said that many of the bartenders come back and make payments every few weeks. Because he said this, I thought this was normal. I was then told to learn a packet and that I would come back on Sunday at 6 pm. When Sunday came around he told me that this was no longer the case and that I should come in on Monday at the same time. I had already learned the packet and I was told there would be a few classes that I would come in for and then I could start work by that same Thursday. When I came in however, all he told me was that I was to go to Sidebar on [redacted] and [redacted]. Before I left I asked him about the packet and if we should go over the drinks. We then proceeded to go over the drinks and he said that the training was all in the bar training. I then went to the place that he told me to go to at 2:30 the following day and they had no idea why I was there. They had no idea about the company and I felt embarrassed and certainly scammed. Because of this I could no longer continue this game with [redacted]. I called him after telling him that the place was not even hiring bartenders, and he said that he called the girl there. I was skeptical and because of this I told him to make her call me personally.

I never heard back from her or [redacted]. I kept calling his number and a few others from the [redacted] location and finally I talked to a [redacted]. He told me to contact with a man name [redacted], and that this would solve my problem, but the email he gave me did not work. I finally decided that to get anything done I would need to come in and so today I did go into the office. I talked to [redacted]. He told me the same thing, to talk to [redacted]. He also gave me an email that did not work. His assistant or whoever she was then told me to talk to her. She stated that because I never finished paying the $400 I couldn't get the job. She also stated that there were no refunds, over and over. I just wanted to talk to the person in charge because I was treated in a poor matter and I needed something to be done about the situation.Desired Settlement: She said that [redacted] was being nice by helping me out, but I did not feel helped out in any way whatsoever. I feel like I've been scammed and I feel as though my rights as a consumer have been violated. I want a full refund from them.

Review: I went to this establishment to infer about a [redacted]ial position that I found on [redacted]. The employer that I met told me the position was filled but they were in need of bartenders. She told me the corporation was involved in human resources. The employer insisted after a brief conversation that I pay $360 in cash for mixology training and placement. She explained that I would need to learn P.O.S. I decided to pay half on that Tuesday and the the remaining $175 on Thursday. The receipt I received is for "Bar Mixology Certification," including one time job placement and 3 time referral limit. As soon as I gave in the full amount, I was handed 2 packets of drink recipes in an orange envelope. Next, the employer ran through a memorized speech of the recipes. Immediately after that I was handed a printed certificate recognizing my achievement in mixology. I had yet to learn how to make a single drink. My employer told me to be ready that Friday for an interview. She said to expect an email between 5PM - 7PM. Her email was sent at 1:11PM. I saw it at 1:30PM. The email included an address to a pub hiring bartenders in Midtown. My employer said to be there at 2PM. Granted, I live in Queens. To get to Manhattan it would take at least 30 minutes. Instead of being late, I called the pub to ask if we could reschedule the interview. I spoke to the [redacted] but he very quickly responded that there were no bartending positions available.I relayed that information to my employer. She replied "SINCE YOU MESSED THAT CONNECTION UP AND NOW I WILL RECEIVE A LOT OF BACKLASH FOR THAT I WILL SEE IF I CAN SEND YOU ANOTHER LOCATION TODAY OR TOMORROW. IF YOU DON'T HEAR OR SEE AN EMAIL FROM MY BY 5PM TODAY I WILL SEND YOU ANOTHER LOCATION TOMORROW BETWEEN 5PM AND 7PM."The next day I received an email at 2:57PM. The email had an address to a place that was hiring, a cafe. This time I went to the actual cafe and spoke in person to the [redacted]. He said they were not hiring bartenders.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of $360 in addition to another $5 for the metro card used to meet the [redacted] in the cafe.Clearly the services I paid for were not provided.

Review: I signed a contact with Exclusive Nightlife Corporation on 10/**/2014.

The company agreed to train me, provide me with job consultation, and place me in a night club or a bar hiring bartenders. I have received no such services by now. They send me to a restaurant on 20/**/2015 that was supposedly expecting me for an immediate placement. However, once I reached their office, they told me that not only they are not hiring, but they have also never heard of the aforementioned company. The company has only provided me with an illegitimate “Evolution Mixology“ certificate stamped with “NYS SEAL OF APPROVAL”. The company stamps documents from the name of New York State and uses different names on every document they have given me so far. According to these payment documents, the company is also known as Exclusive Nightlife Corporation, NY Exclusive Entertainment LLC, NY Exclusive Night Life Jobs. The company does not answer the phones listed online and does not have a contact e-mail listed. I have expressed my disappointment with the service received but I was refused any refund.

[redacted]s' phone is [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like to get a full refund of the $299 they collected in fees.
