Review: Dear [redacted],

I, [redacted] have been a loyal patient of New York Fashion Braces on [redacted], since August 2012. On my last visit, August **, 2014, the orthodontist informed me that for the next visit (scheduled for September **, 2014) my braces were ready to be removed. It was also explained that I was going to have teeth cleaning and a set of retainers were going to be made for me.

On September **, 2014 I went for my appointment as scheduled to find two signs (attached to this complaint) stating that New York Fashion Braces was permanently closed and it provided a telephone to contact and an address to pick up a copy of my records. After speaking to other patients, apparently New York Fashion Braces did not contact anyone (including me) about this closure.

After paying out-of-pocket for my complete treatment I refuse to have to pay for the removal of my braces and recliners, approximately $1,500+ (according to [redacted]) when I already complied with the payment for my complete treatment. I write you in the hope that you can persuade New York Fashion Braces to honor all the terms of its contract with me and everyone else involved.

Review: A year ago I start my braces treatment, payed 1,000 down payment and 160 every visit for 18 months. My treatment is not complete, and I was left in the air because they did not notify me that they were closing the office down. I found out because I've been calling to schedule an appointment and got no response so decided to go personally to find out, they are closed due to the death of the [redacted]. I have no records and the attorney [redacted] is giving a hard time to give them out and it's not answering back.Desired Settlement: I payed 1,000 to start a treatment that hasn't been finished! I also need my records to keep on at another ortho clinic or I'll have to pay all over again.

Review: I have been a patient of NY Fashion Braces, [redacted] and I recently found out via [redacted] that he passed away in January of 2014 and the office was abruptly closed in August 2014. I was never notified. I am currently in the middle of my treatment, with 14 trays left and I do not have any of my records, remaining trays and I also cannot use my current insurance to go to another Orthodontist because I maxed out my lifetime ortho benefits. I think it's absolutely disgusting that no on one from the office thought to call the patients and let them know what happened and that they were still conducting the business as if he were still alive. I am not sure where to turn or what to do, but I would like to have my treatment finished without having to pay more out of my pocket. My initial treatment was $4250 and out of that $1250 came out of my pocket.
