Review: I purchased a new 2013 yamaha vstar 1300 motorcycle from this dealer approx 1 month ago.....I have had some problems with the starting system of the bike since I changed the pipes....I bought the pipes and the power commander from the dealer so there is an assumption on my part that they know what they r talking about....they also installed them...since then I have had issues starting the bike and have taken it back several time...they claim that its normal for yamaha bikes to have that problem....it is not....so I got a second opinion....from another yamaha dealer who claims it could be the power commander which regulates the fuel flow......in any case I contacted yamaha and spoke to a rep named [redacted] who explained to me that I still have a 1 year warranty as long as no modifications I made cause a failure.....so then I callled service and spoke to "[redacted]" the [redacted] who proceeded to yell and scream at me like im a little kid and berate me cuz I callled yamaha to document the issue in case I have to go to court....im not stupid...and this guy says to me...."well im certainly not gonnna pay for the parts if they are needed for the bike"...they r gonnna pay one way or the other....I just want my bike to run right.....I paid alot of money for it...and I dont wannna get stuck...and I will report them to every known consumer agency I know of if they dont fix it right....I personally dont [redacted] about this guys bottom line profit....I want my bike running right or I will go to court...periodDesired Settlement: I want the bike fixed right or they will find themselves in court.........or my money back......its a safety issue and I dont like riding under unsafe conditions

In May of this year, [redacted] purchased a motorcycle from NY Honda Yamaha. NY Honda Yamaha is the number one selling Honda and Yamaha dealer in the northeast and very proud of its customer satisfaction scores from its customers as well as our exemplary long term record with the Revdex.com. [redacted] also purchased some aftermarket equipment that we installed on his motorcycle, most notably an exhaust and a power commander (which regulates the airflow to the aftermarket exhaust). Shortly thereafter, [redacted] noted that he was having an intermittent issue with his motorcycle. After a few contacts between the customer and our service department (and me, the salesman on his deal), [redacted] scheduled an appointment to bring his motorcycle here on Wednesday (two weeks ago). The day before he came for his appointment, he called and informed our service department that he would not be coming in for his appointment as he fe lt comfortable in going to another dealer to get another opinion on the issue at hand. The next day [redacted] informed us that the issue was diagnosed as being caused by a defective part from Power Commander (therefore the airflow was not being maximized most effectively). With that, [redacted] came to our service department on Saturday morning (July [redacted]), and we swapped out the defective part. The customer left here this past Saturday with his motorcycle working well and pleased with the attention his situation was given upon this visit. Our regret, is that [redacted] did not allow us to diagnose this defective part problem by cancelling his scheduled appointment with us two weeks ago. If he did give us that opportunity, we are sure that this situation that led to the customers dissatisfaction would have been closed weeks ago.
