Review: NYKB broke a bathroom cabinet mirror during the installation of cabinet light kit I purchased from a manufacture on 9/**/13.

[redacted], owner of NYKB promised to purchase and deliver a new bathroom cabinet mirror. I contacted him and his installer multiple times. He has not yet purchased the promised mirror or has not informed me about the purchase after I provided product number and serial number.

I would like to hear from them when I will have a new mirror.Desired Settlement: I would like a new mirror to be delivered and installed.

Review: We went under "contract" in March of 2013 to have our 2 bathrooms renovated as well as the kitchen. The kitchen work started on August[redacted], 2013. The process has been extremely slow- is still going on- and the work quality does not match the plans or contract. Our cabinets are multiple colors (we wanted white, and some are natural wood, while others are white), there is a large electrical cable coming out of the middle of our kitchen floor, our active dishwasher is not anchored and falls onto the floor, they failed to measure our washer / dryer casing correctly, thus we had to buy a new one, which does not fit the new one we were instructed to purchase, our countertops have been measured three times, yet have not arrived, the floor was installed 3 feet short of the plans, we have been lied to numerous times with respects to timelines both in writing as well as verbally, they posted their own reviews on the web (which is how we chose them), and have not reflected that our money paid was properky escrowed.Desired Settlement: We would like them to complete countertop, and replace the the cabinets that are mismatched and refund the $32,500 they have collected, yet not completed the work on and have their contracting license reviewed.

Review: NYKB remodeled my kitchen roughly 8 months ago. Given I live in a NYC coop, the electrical work needed to be inspected and approved by NYC following the job. The work has now failed 3 NYC inspections. Scheduling of a fourth is pending. The contract stipulates all work to be done to NYC code - this was not the case. This has resulted in months of frustration and time on my part - dealing with NYKB and their electrician, and significant time away from work while additional electrical work and inspections were performed. And still not finished. [redacted] (the owner) has been very involved and has expressed his apologies and embarrassment for the situation. That is not enough. The situation needs to be rectified beyond words.Desired Settlement: 1. Pass NYC electrical inspection. 2. Compensation for electrical portion of the job (roughly $5000) - it was not done according to contract (contract stipulates doing work to NYC code).

In response to the your letter dated July [redacted] 2013, NYKB was hired by [redacted] to perform a kitchen renovation, the renovation was completed within 2 month. The client paid us in full and was satisfied with the renovation. To complete the electrical work, as a general contractor in New York and in order to preform electrical work and obtain NYC electrical permit we hired Joseph Weinstein Electric Corp, which is a licensed New York City electrician

Joseph Weinstein Electrical installed new wiring in the kitchen. As required, the electrician filed for an electrical permit and upon inspection by the New York City Bureau of Electrical Control, Joseph Weinstein Electrical received a violation for a minor defect.

Joseph Weinstein Electrical repaired this defect and requested a reinspection. A different electrical inspector performed the reinspection and approved the repair but noted a new minor violation.

Joseph Weinstein Electrical repaired this new defect and requested another reinspection. The first electrical inspector arrived and noted the repair but requested that one screw be changed. He stated that he would approve the work as long as Joseph Weinstein Electrical sent him a photograph on the replaced screw. Joseph Weinstein Electrical replaced the screw and sent him a photograph.

Joseph Weinstein Electrical later spoke to the inspector and he stated that he decided he wanted to see the new screw in person. Joseph Weinstein Electrical have recently requested the reinspection. Today we received a new inspection appointment which will be performed on Monday, August **, 2013 at 2:30pm by the City of New York.

I understand that this has been an inconvenience for [redacted], NYKB is fully committed to make sure that Joseph Weinstein Electric Corp will not fail this inspection.
