Review: The complaint is about not getting my furniture and my other stuff despite requesting them since Wednesday 06/**/2013 to be delivered by 06/**/2013. We have moved out of Westbury, NY on 05/**/2013. We hired New-York Movers Service Inc. and they picked up my stuff with our agreement of storing them up to 4 weeks and that they will deliver it to my new home in Michigan upon my request (since I didn't have a place to stay at that time, and the company was offering up to 4 weeks of free storage). I first contacted [redacted] (the customer service representative) on 06/**/2013 to request the delivery and I was told that they are waiting for the truck to deliver my household items and that she can't give me a specific date until they get the truck. Since then I am calling the company many times everyday to get an update and I always get the same answer "the truck will be here soon and we will call you when it arrives". 07/**/2013 was my last contact with them and I spoke with [redacted] (the dispatcher) and he told me the same statement "the truck will be here this afternoon and I will call you back once it arrives", of-course I didn't hear from them and they don't answer the phone. so I filed a complaint through FEDERAL MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY ADMINISTRATION on 07/**/13. I spoke to [redacted] last week and I sent him a fax and email with a signed request to deliver my stuff by Friday 07/**/13 or make it available for pick up after the due date, but he insisted that he will deliver it and he made other arrangements with another truck to deliver my stuff on Friday 7/** but nothing happened. I have two little kids (5 and 2 years old) and we were sleeping on the floor before getting a temporary air mattresses, also I need my paperwork, my books, the kids stuff and our clothes, it costs me a lot to purchase our necessary needs until they deliver it. The company didn't honor their commitment to deliver my stuff on time and now beside causing a great deal of inconvenience, they are causing me lots of damage physically and psychologically.Desired Settlement: Therefore, I am requesting the remedy for breaching the contract for the following: 1. The value of my stuff (furniture, electronics, clothes, appliances, books, kids' toys...etc) which is $60,000.00. 2. All expenses I spent for getting temporary furniture for my family. I spent about $4450.00 to purchase the essentials and we are still sleeping on Air mattresses for more than five weeks. 3. All medical expenses I spent due to the delay of receiving my furniture, and deteriorating my condition over the past couple weeks which led to my inability to walk and using a wheel chair. 4. The damage that occurred due to the emotional stress that occurred to me, my wife, and my children. 5. The damage that occurred due to the fact that I am not able to get my textbooks and study materials on time before the coming exam in October and the consequences that might occur. 6. The damage that occurred due to my inability to reach information that was stored in my PC. 7. All/any other damages that caused because of the breach of the contract. And I am requesting a full refund of the amount paid ($1716.00) in case they don't deliver the furniture.

At this time, I have not been contacted by New York Movers, Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted].

They actually contacted me but regarding the OLD CCOMPLAINT that I have filed with Department of transportation, they didn't acknowledge the Revdex.com complaint at all, I beleeive this because they have changed the name of the business to New York Movers Services INC. but they still have the same website and that is how I found the company on Revdex.com, [redacted] (the dispatcher) finally called me and he told me he will take care of the resting balance for me since he is late delivering my stuff, but few days later he called me and he said I have to pay him the outstanding balance or I won't get my furniture, so they finally delivered it on 08/**/13 and I paid them another 1300 dollars which made the total over $3000. I hope to publish my complaint and I am still not satisfied with the outcome of my case, since I paid them in full for a service that they breached the aggrement and delayed the delivery for two full months which caused me a huge inconvienience and costed me a lot to keep going.
