[redacted]  purchase this course from Groupon a third party for $149.00, which includes instruction and test. He is required to purchased the book from us which he paid $30. He violated the term of agreement where by, he must take the exam within 90 days of  first attending the class and completing 90% of the required hours of classroom attendance. Although he met the 90% attendance policy, he failed to meet the test taking policy.  If he thinks he is still entitled, he must go to Groupon.
Our list price for the course is $425, including the book. Groupon has discounted the course 35% at a substantial benefit to [redacted]

Review: I purchased the school package for full price ($495)when discount websites such as [redacted] and [redacted] are offering massive discounts ($149) for the same product. I have reached out several times (by email) to the [redacted], [redacted] in trying to resolve this issue, but I am not getting a response at all. I am not trying to deny or dispute the charges. All I am asking for is a fair adjustment in the pricing.

The [redacted] deal is $149 with a 40% discount on the books. I would like to pay for the course ($149) and the books($80 at 40% = $48) which would total to $197, and get a refund on the difference.

I do not need any other service offered by the school, except for the books and course.

Response:

One of our stated she was not given information about Real Estate Education Center's [redacted] or [redacted] promotion. However, any time a student or prospective student inquires or mentions a promotion we have going on, it is typical for any one of our staff members to brief him or her about our promotions. If individuals do not specifically mention or inquire about our promotions we do not voluntarily give them information about our promotions. Students must specifically mention or inquire about our promotions. If there are any further questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Review: This complaint is similar to filed on 3/*/2014. My student ID is [redacted]. I completed the 75-hour classroom sessions and passed the New York State exam. My course started some time at the end of Dec 2013, I requested a school exam sometime in Feb, however, the school refused to let me take it. I then tried to arrange it again in Apr, they stated my student status has expired, I don't get to take the school exam unless I pay the entire programme again. This is a no less than a plain robbery! I tried to resolve this with [redacted] and [redacted], they insisted on charging the entire programme fee, says it's their policy. The programme detail about the exam is not clearly outlined in the receipt or anywhere on the website they have; nor they ever explained this. Now I couldn't sign up with a broker because I got held up by the school exam.Desired Settlement: Since the school exam worth $50 as they put it, I'd like to have the $50 exam fee back.
