Review: My sister got a apartment through this agency and suggested I use them to get a apartment in her same building, the Agent who assisted her "[redacted]" sent me to go see 2 apartments of which I chose one, he said I had to pay 1 month rent 1 month deposit and 1 month and a half fee even though they did not have to create a profile for my approval because of my good credit. I paid $2,100 1 month rent and 1 month deposit up front just to hold the apartment for me,because the agent said the management company needed the funds upfront and that I could pay the realtor fee at a later time. The apartment was supposed to be ready by July [redacted], I asked for August [redacted] because I did not have the realtor funds ready, before July [redacted] asks me to complete the funds because they will not give me a lease until everything is paid for, so I say there is not point in my giving you time to have the apartment ready for aug * if you cant wait till aug * to get the realtor funds. So I end up getting and paying the $1,575 remaning balance. All the while I am texting with [redacted] regarding on the status of the apartment which was not ready July [redacted] and I was told that since I had asked for Aug [redacted] they had prioritized another apartment, they were fast collecting all of there money before July [redacted] while the apartment is not ready and then after [redacted] keeps saying no lease is ready. Aug * comes no lease no refund I receive a letter in the mail from a lawyer dated july **, while I am still waiting for my lease they have contacted me for a refund. I send in the form for refund, call there attorney and leave a voicemail call the real estate company and leave a voicemail because no one picks up phones. These people are a scam and I want every penny of my money back.Desired Settlement: I want ALL of my money back.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by New York Realty Masters regarding complaint ID [redacted]. They do not pick up phone calls, and neither does the "attorney" that they have hired.

Sincerely,

Review: I worked with them for 2-3 months trying to help me get an apartment. I gave them $2190 to secure an apartment. After several failed attempts, I decided to stop working with them. I signed a contract stating that, if they are unable to get an apartment for me, I will get a FULL refund less the $100 application fee. I have called several time to get my refund check and I was given excuse after excuse at to why it wasnt prepared. Now they are not answering phone calls and there office is closed. I WANT MY MONEY BACK and not a check because I think it will bounce.Desired Settlement: I would like the owner, [redacted] ###-###-#### to give me back my money. I gave him cash and I want cash back.

Review: A broker name [redacted] for that so called real estate showed me an apartment and right away asked me for money. He said to hold the apartment and not show nobody else. I trusted him and I gave him$4000.00 and went to the office to fill out the application. The secretary of his told me it just take 5 days to process and know if I will quilifie. A week passed and I didn't hear from them. I called [redacted] and he was not available. I got the secretary and she was telling me that sometimes takes longer and I said you guys have my money and I can't wait I need to move. Five weeks passed and [redacted] finally told me that I won't get the apartment because the manager found someone who will pay more than me. I consider this a fraud because after gibe him my money to hold the apartment and knowing I qualified for it, five weeks I was waiting for him to say that? He is not a honest person and he isn't professional. He is a fraud and I will like for people don't ever go to this office since I found out I am not the only one who they played with.Desired Settlement: Since I paid $4000.00 and qualified I should have had the apartment. They are not to be trusted.

Review: I went to this company for help finding an apartment. They took $3100 from me to secure an apartment. After waiting 3 wks for approval and to sign lease, they typed up a lease for an apartment that I have never seen and the apartment was basically non existent. So after I brought it to their attention, they tried to show me another apartment, I denied their offer and requested my money back. They told me come in monday, so I did, then they told me come back wednesday, and I did. When I got there I come to find out nobidy was in the office and there was about 10 others waiting outside who were also scammed out of thousands by this company. This business needs to be shut down to prevent them from stealing from vulnerable and desperate peoples hard earned money. Now my daughter, girlfriend and I might be homeless come aug [redacted] 2013.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back, so my family and I will not be homeless, they took all of our savings.

Review: This company had a binding contract to return thousands of dollars to myself and other victims when denied for an applied apartment through there company. The binding contact states " If your application for the above specified apartment is not accepted by the landlord for any reason then your good faith deposit will be refunded immediately upon request " They have been sitting on my money since June [redacted] and I had to call the police on them. The police said that I had to take them to court but the thing is I need that money to get a place to live. I have a 9 month old son and now I have nowhere to live because these people will not give me my money. My friend also gave them $4300 and they wont refund her money either. They keep on giving excuses to com back another day, come back, come back, come back. I cant take it anymore, I have [redacted] this is making me sick medically. Please do something about these people it must be illegal what they are doing to people. Please get back to me and let me know what will be done about this blasphemy. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I want my money back. And because they breached there own contract they cannot keep the outrageous $200 they charge for application fees. I just want my money and I thing the business should be closed down because I am not the only one they've done this to. Even the police said they were going to contact the Revdex.com to file a complaint against them. They need to be shut down or fined for what they are doing to people.

Review: I went to this Real Estate agency after finding an ad for them on [redacted]. They took me to see a few apartments. I found one I liked and I applied. I was told I needed to pay $100 for an application fee and put a $2000 deposit that included the first month's rent and a security deposit for the apartment. On the contract I signed it said that if I was denied the apartment, I would be issued a refund for my deposit immediately. I have been calling and have gone into the office and have still not been issued a refund for my money.Desired Settlement: I want my $2000 cash refund as promised.

Review: I began business with the real estate company on May **, 2013 in order to find an apartment in the bronx. After finding an apartment, I made a deposit towards the apartment. It took over 1 month to hear from anyone about the apartment. I finally decided to end all business with them and I was told that my deposit would be refunded to me in a few days. Currently, the business is closed down and I have not received my deposit. I have not heard from anyone including the owner [redacted] about my deposit.
