Review: I hired the company to perform repairs to hurricane damage. I paid $29,000 so far of a total contract cost of $53,000. Upstairs: They created a very dangerous situation with electrical work, they left live wires exposed. The work wasn't completed on time. The kitchen cabinets weren't measured and done properly. I had to stop them because they ordered the wrong size cabinets. They left dangerous vents exposed, leaving a big hole in my floor. The windows weren't done properly. Closets weren't done properly and have to be redone. I don't have running water on the first floor. In the basement: They were supposed to replace a sump pump. They charged me for two sump pumps, but they installed one used pump that isn't working properly. Water has pooled in my son's room and isn't being drawn away. My son's bedroom was to be sound-proofed, and they didn't do that. The walls were done incorrectly - the paint job was running, electrical work was done wrong in the basement. They put wrong windows in the basement. There were large gaps between the windows and the sheet rock. Basement plumbing is screwed up - we're getting a backed up smell. Basement carpentry work was never finished. Nothing is straight. Everything is crooked. The carpenter they hired was [redacted], and I have [redacted] in my house. Further, I'd asked them to remove cabinets from my friend's home which was to be knocked down. But they also removed copper wiring, heating system equipment without authorization. A new contractor will be going through the kitchen, and he might identify further problems. Home is not up to code.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the $29,000 so that I can hire a new contractor and have the repairs done professionally.
