Newcastle Screen LIC # 814846

Dave Elkan, contractor/owner of Newcastle Screen co. came to my home on 6/19/20 and bid on a job. He created a purchase order for the job which totaled $700.00. He requested a 50% deposit, which I gave him and which he deposited to his bank on 6/22/20. He was to return to my home on either 6/22 or 6/23 to bring me a sample of screen material for the job. He never showed and never called. To this date 8/15/20 I have not been able to contact him. I have documented at least 22 phone calls and voice messages to his business phones, to which he has not responded, I emailed his company address, and texted him and both times NO RESPONSE.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB, his Surety Ins. Co .and the Calif. Contractors License Board. I recommend that you do not do business with this company.
