Thanks for brining the customer concern to our attentionAfter reviewing the incident with my Service Manager“On December 31st the customer came into Newgate Sunoco to have two previously purchased tires installed on his carDuring the installation we informed the customer that one of his Tpm
(tire pressure monitor) valves was so corroded inside that we could not put air into the tireI gave the customer an estimate to replace the Tpm sensor and he approved of the workAfter replacing the Tpm sensor we were able to properly inflate the tire to the safe manufacturer specThe customer left happy with the serviceOn January 1st the customer came in with the Tpm light flashing in the dash indicating a communication problem between the car and the new TpmUsing our Tpm tool we were able to verify that all of the sensors were working correctly and tires were inflated properlyWe then showed the customer that each sensor was working with our Tpm tool.The customer was informed that he may have to return his car to the dealer to have the Tpm system reset, as not all equipment is compatible with all makes and models and that this problem is not due to a failure in the sensor we installedThe customer went to *** *** *** and received advise from them that he needed to buy a new sensor, which was of the exact same type and brand that we installedThe customer refused to listen to our explanation of why the repair was needed and why it needed to be returned to the dealer for servicing.I would be glad to consider some form of help for the customer in a effort to help him resolve his issueIf the system was reset by another shop, I would respectfully request a copy of that invoice, to see what their findings were and the cost associated with the repair.Thank you for your time and efforts in helping to resolve this issue.Brian Newgate Sunoco

Review: We took our car in because it was struggling to run and not shift gears. We were told for a $99 diagnostic they will be able to get back to us. They did get back to us and said that once we took care of the repairs they suggested our car would be purring like a cat. The repair cost $2000. They called us late Monday afternoon said it was ready for pick up, we drove it home and immediately contacted them via [redacted], stating there was no difference and it was struggling to run on the road. They said bring it in the next day, and the next day, casually told us it was a transmission problem and for $1500 more they could get it running...and we are half way there!This is outrageous! to have us told that after supposedly a purring cat after $2000!If Revdex.com fails to help us we will continue our campaign of cheating companies like this especially the auto industry! We will take it to the news and the world wide web! Auto companies after them said the other repairs were not essential as compared to immediate and obvious problems of the transmission!Desired Settlement: Challenge this company! When I talk to them they simply sweet talk me! We needed the option to get a diagnositc of the problems and then be given the chance to address the main problems! WE have a limited budget! We will also take it up with the [redacted] corporation

Newgate Sunoco has made two different, fair offers to resolve this situation. Both have been denied by the customer and they have decided that they will be taking legal action. The customer contacted the Revdex.com and other internet resources two days prior to bringing the issue to our attention, we were not given a chance to resolve this matter prior.
