Newhope Laser Skin Care Reviews (2)

RECEIVED FEB 2018Subject: *** ***Per our electronic medical record, *** came to Newhope Laser Skin Care for a private consult with me on 12/17/She wants to remove unwanted tattoos 1) Angel with wings in black and grey tattoo ink across her entire lower back (size 10inx8in) 2) A
spider web tattoo located on right ankle approximately 2.5inx2.5inHer specific concerns were pain level, healing time, potential of scarring, how many treatments it would take to accomplish her tattoo removal goal, and how much would it costsI explained to her just like I explained to thousands of our patient the following1) Our board-certified MD breaks down the ink pigments within the epidermis by passing the laserbeam over the tattoo patternsTook about 5-minutes in *** caseOnce the ink pigments are broken down by the laser, the body's immune system wouldmetabolize them by slowing flushing the pigments out of the body via the liverIn essential, she would be urinating out her tattoo pigments over the course of 8-weeks The number of treatment is depending on various removal factors (laser technology, physician's experience, size, density, colors, skin type, tattoo location, and most importantly the patient's overall healthSome patients achieved their tattoo removal goal only after 1-treatments,while others 8-treatmentsGiven the unpredictable conditions of patients' health over the MEcourse of treatment, it's virtually impossible to accurately predict how many treatments it takesto completely remove any tattooHence, our policy here at Newhope Laser Skin Care has a always been pay as you goThink of the chaos it would create if we implemented something other than pay as you go, i.e.; a patient purchase of package of txs at a discount rate, what happened if patient is done with her/his treatments after txs? Do we prorate and refund the difference? Or worse, patient not done after txs and must purchase another 5txs package buttattoo was removed after the 6th txPatients paid for 10txs but only received 6txs total4) Our pricing here is standardized based on our state of art PICO laser removal technology &employment of only the best board-certified physician available: 2inx2in or small tattoo = $200/tx, 3inx3in=$300/tx, 4inx4in=$400/tx, Sinx5in=$500/tx, Ginx6in=$600/tx, so on so forthIn ***'s case her total size of both tattoos is almost sqin and would have been $950/tx but was discounted down with a quote of $750/txHowever; due to her financial situation at the time of the consult, Newhope Laser Skin Care also extended an additional 20% discount if she ever decided to come in for a treatment, which bought the price down to $600/tx, an almost 40% discount. We not quite sure what exactly transpired between *** and my well-trained staff, *** over the phone when *** called but we are confidentiy that *** did quote *** the correct fee of $750/tx - 20% discount = $600/tx when *** came in for her 15* tx on 12/07/Our price quote for *** is based on well written documentation in the patient's electronic medical record while it's quite unlike that *** could remember the exact details what was quoted her year agoEnclosed is the price worksheet that was incorporated into her medical chart and we hope with this letter, Revdex.comwould put this matter to restThank you

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12671078, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am not satisfied with this response because I paid for a service that was performed under false pretenses. I asked what the TOTAL would be and I was told $750. I also asked because I could not remember my previous conversation with office staff, as some time had passed. Due to [redacted]'s lack of communication, I was left confused and now less $600. [redacted] should have stated that it was $750 PER SESSION, not just "you were quoted $750 total." Due to her lack of communication, I began a service that I cannot afford. A one time cost of $750 is a lot different than 8-10 sessions costing $750 each.
Regards,
[redacted]
