Review: NewKadia is an online comic book retailer offering a service called a "Prime Standard" membership, in which customers pay a fee and receive free Media rate shipping for a three month period. I purchased a Prime Standard membership on August 14, 2014. (NewKadia order # [redacted]) When I made another purchase the next day from NewKadia, (Order # [redacted]) I noticed that I didn't receive my free shipping and contacted customer service via email on August 15, 2014. I provided NewKadia with the order number so they could quickly verify my membership and credit me for the shipping. I received a reply from CEO Jim D[redacted] six days later on August 21 explaining that my previous Prime Standard membership had expired on August 9, and so I was ineligible for free shipping.

I immediately responded with a scan of my Newkadia packing receipt, demonstrating again that I had re-purchased a Prime Standard membership on August 14, renewing my access to the free shipping. It is now 9 days later and NewKadia has declined to respond. Newkadia took my $7.50 membership fee, failed to provide the service I paid for, then ignored my requests to look into the matter.Desired Settlement: NewKadia needs to do one of two things - they either need to

A) credit my account for the $4.49 shipping I was charged in breach of contract on August 15, and properly set up my account for three months of free shipping as promised or

B) They need to refund the $7.50 Prime Standard membership fee I purchased on August 14 if they refuse to provide the service.

Review: I placed an order on November 1st and returned all the books, except two because they were damaged, and it was agreed between me and the shop owner, [redacted].

[redacted] has promised to issue a partial refund for the 2 books I kept for myself and a full refund for the ones that I sent back.

No refund and no communication. I tried to contact [redacted] 4-5 times to find out what has happened with the books I returned and what about the refund.

I never got an answer, no matter what. I'm now with two damaged books that I wanted to keep but for a partial refund and lost the money for the rest of the books and the shipping cost back to the store.

Very unprofessional behavior and customer service.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to fulfill everything that we agreed upon (a refund for the books I sent including shipping costs back, and a partial refund for the books I kept).
