My husband had insurance with H UMANA and on 11-30-we asked them not to draft anymore .On 12-5-they drafted from my account which cause me to be overdrawnI called the fraud department had them to email that I to sign and faxed it back to the next dayI called Humana and they said that they would give the money back but it might take days so I advised the fraud department of thisThey advised that they had received the paperwork and it had been attached the fileThey were advised what the company said but they continually stated that it may take 2-days or daysI explained to them that because of this my other purchases would go into overdraft and I did not want that .As of today I am in the negative in overdrafts and no one seems to careThey
advised that they could not give me provisional credit on a checking recurring debt I do not understand why they cannot help me in someway

My mortgage was sold to BB&T and it has been horribleThey have incredibly long hold times, confusing automated menus, their website is hard to navigateThey are such a large corporation and it shows in their lack of personal touch and attention to making things easy and enjoyable for their customers

I have been trying to get my new credit card with the chip in it for over months nowFirst I was told they cannot update my address over the phone, that it has to be done through snail mail....how do I do this through snail mail if they never send me my paperwork??!!! After I called for the 2nd time, they tell me I can change it online, which I had already done....still...no card....the 3rd time I call...they tell me there's another site I have to go to to update my address....even though their system shows an updated addressThe 4th time I called, today, 4/19/2016, I still have no card, but I have the letter with the PIN # as well as the activation letter....WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE??? Then, after being on the phone for over minutes, cancelled my cards, I get a completely incompetent human being that asked me EVERY question possible, by the time she asked me about my statements, I had lost it with herAsked for an employee number which she refused to give me and I proceeded to wait for a supervisor for another minutesDO NOT USE THIS BANK!!! THEY HAVE ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLSYOU WILL BE VERY UNHAPPY!!

Money has been missing out of my account on occasions now (in addition to overdraft fees that I should not have gotten), and management at my local branch told me that I would need to pay $an hour for their resolutions department to take a look at everything Having to pay additional money for them to find bank errors is bad business, and I am changing banks

This bank is incompetent , constantly posting things to my account whenever they feel like it I never minded much because I was always covered My complaint is about my card renewal I called and asked for one, I got one in the mail I activated it I recieved another in the mail, I shredded it Half way through the month it stops working, cant be authorized I called customer service and they refused to activate teh current card they sent for replacement Said I had to wait 1-weeks to receive the new one The customer service agent I spoke with 'Monica' was extremely rude, condescending and kept cutting me off BBT has just lost my business

I did not choose BB&T as my banking institution They bought out Citibank in the stated of Texas They did not ever let me know of all the bogus charges they have For example, if you call in more than two times a month they deduct $from my account every time I do That is absurd I am being penalized for calling in about questions about my own money?

No Fraud Protection For Customers
I noticed two fraudulent charges on my business accountI initially thought no big deal, I caught it within a few days so I'll call the bank have it reversedAfter filling out their paperwork and submitting it to my surprise the bank stated " upon investigation we determined that the transaction was authorized and therefore not eligible to be reversed"They stated I have to call the company/individual and request they reimburse meSo, as a customer of their bank I have to call the company/individual who illegally charged my account and beg them to give me my money back? Naturally my calls go to voicemail when I try their techniqueDoes that make sense at all?
That's like telling a person ask a thief to return what they stole

We have a home loan with BB&T (sold by Sunbelt) that has been badly managed by BB&T We took the initial loan in late April We opted to pay our taxes and insurance with our monthly payment An entire year of insurance was collected from us and months worth of taxes(692.00) at closing to put into the escrowOur payment was to be with escrow but after two months we decided to increase our payment to They paid our taxes in November The amount was We changed insurance companies in April (year anniversary of loan ) but BB&T had already paid our old insurance companyWe received a refund check from our old insurance company and immediately forwarded it directly to the BB&T Escrow Department with instructions to place the entire amount (1501.00) in the escrow account They didn't They made a regular house payment which put the escrow account in arrears They started suspensing all subsequent house paymentsThey started printing new payment books with higher and higher amounts and then notified all the credit reporting agencies of our late payments. We paid more than was required and always on time If Revdex.com would like to resolve this issue, please restore my perfect credit score

This bank practice in Consumer Frad! My lawyer went over my acct with me and the bogus overdraft fees with me and basically they mislead there customers and clear why they have as little customers as any other banks I'm closing my acct with them soon as possible Nothing can be done over a phone everything has to be down at a bank which is not convenient for handicap customers who can't get to a local branch to dispute an issue They only apply a refund to your acct once every months PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER BANK

B, and T is by far one of the worst companies I have ever dealt withIt is true that I fell behind on my mortgageHowever I had acquired what I owed in back within only a few monthsI was told I could speak to only one person about the matterMiss Brown was her name I thinkI called every single day for weeks! I could never get throughI left messages constantlyI had the money in hand but was warned by their own employees not to give it to them or try to make a payment without making sure I was not in foreclosure because they would take the full amount to get caught up but still continue with the foreclosureWhen she finally answered the phone almost months later I started all over again with the lawyersMiss Brown said she could no longer speak with me, that I had to talk You have to the lawyersYou have to give your name before getting through and the secretary would constantly say how they were busy and would call me backThis went on for another few weeksI got through to the lawyers right before ChristmasI told her I had the money and didn't want to loose my buildingI wanted to pay the money owed and continueShe (the lawyer) said it sounded very doable and that we could surly work something outThis was a nice little delay so they could lock me out and try to keep all of the contentsAfter that I could only get through with them by e-mailI feel the refusal to answer or return my calls were merely delays to put me further and further behind with even more attorney feesI now want nothing but the absolute worst for this companyI hope they burn in hell! I will continue to preach to everyone what a *** company they are and through several businesses, my husband and I know a lot of peopleI will continue to hope for their downfall

They have cashed of my payments and can't tell me where the money is They are showing me close to days late They want me to pay up another $to remain ONLY days in arrears when according to my records and cashed checks I am up to date Terrible to work with, all they say is we didn't get the checks, produce a copy of the check and proof they were cashed OK now I have days to do this plus work my hour a day job! I am not happy with them and feel I will never get my credit score back where it was They are my only negative in over years

Hi.
I am writing you now to bring you up to date on this complaint.
/>
I contacted the branch manager and the regional manager last Friday and stated that the bill they were demanding that I pay ($160.00) was incorrectly being described as pertaining to 2013.  It was my belief that institutions like banks do not bill for services like safe deposit boxes backwards, i.e., they do not bill in December 2013 for services rendered during the entire year of 2013.  Instead they bill forward and the customer pays in advance for the coming year -- in this case 2014.  Therefore, I did not believe that I owed them any money.
The original bill actually had no coverage dates on it (!) so I told them I wanted the bill, on bank letterhead, with accompanying coverage dates (most assuredly I would no longer accept any verbal information from them).  In just a few hours, I heard from both managers that I was correct, I had been given "misinformation," the bill covered 2014, and they would waive the first month's charge and the late fee.  In other words, I could close the safe deposit box without paying anything further.
I agreed, if, and only if, I received a formal letter from the bank manager stating that the safe deposit box was closed, the keys had been turned over, there was a balance due of $0.00, and no further fees would be sought from me pertaining to this safe deposit box in the future.  By this time, they agreed they "had really messed this up" and said they would do the letter.  That process was completed on Saturday 2/1/14.
I cannot tell you how important it was to be backed up by Revdex.com and I thank you for allowing me to be less alone in doing battle with this bank.  They expressed discomfort with my "taking things wider."  Without your help in convincing BB&T that they were dealing with more than just one person, I think they would have continued to discount what I was saying, treat me with significant distain, and demand money from me that I did not owe them.
If I were to fight for what I believe to be morally right, I would seek a refund for the 2013 payment because these people told me the box was closed in December 2012.  But that would be a major battle for $150.00 and I do not think it would be worth it.  I suspect you folks might even suggest that I probably would not win that one.
Thank you so much.  Your help meant the world to me.  It was a presence that gave me leverage and more self-confidence.  Your very prompt response to my request for help also allowed me to feel backed up in what was a most unpleasant series of events.
Please let me know if I need to do anything further to close out this process with Revdex.com.

They do not care about the consumer at all. All they care about is lining their pockets with there fees and money. I will never recommend this bank to anyone. I would give "0" if I could. Avoid them at all cost!!!

BB&T is the worst bank I've ever seen. They rip you off and are completely heartless about it! Would never ever let any of my friends or family get them as a bank!!

Dear Johana, I have been in touch with BB&T Merchant Services and the issue has been resolved. They have issued us a refund and allowed the accounts to be closed/waived the fee to close the account. Please let me know if you need anything else to close this...

complaint!

Horrific customer service and no one seems to ever know the answers to the simple questions I have. I have spoken to bankers on every level, teller, branch manager, regional manager, and no one has any answers. They tell you to call the 800 customer service number "because they do not know". I have NEVER received the "run around" from a financial institution as bad as this before. I currently have accounts with [redacted] and [redacted] and have never had any issue with them. I have only had BB&T account for a month and closed it due to customer service and bogus bank fees. BEWARE.

While trying to handle a change in password issue, I was instructed that even though the online account was under my social security number, had my e-mail address, my billing/home address, my security questions, and MY bank account number, I was not able to access change the password because my father's name was on the account. I was instructed to make a new account which I was not able to do because the social security number was already being used. The manager Corey Barrow was incredibly unhelpful and kept telling me that I needed to create my own online account, which I couldn't because my social security number was already in use.

Great service! Caring staff! I always feel like I am being cared for by professionals.

My online account access was locked due to a password issue. There was no option to use email or text to reset, forcing me to call customer service. Upon calling, the representative was rude, demanding to speak to my husband despite the fact that I am joint owner and am actually the one who established the online access. When I asked why he was requesting this information, he wouldn't give me a clear answer. I handed the phone over to my husband who gave the information requested and handed the phone back to me. I asked the rpresentative if he had everything he needed, and he says no and that he needs more information from my husband. I hand the phone back to my husband and the represetative had hung up on him. My issue was not resolved, and both my husband and I were treated disrespectfully,

In November requested a bank employee to compute my required minimum distribution (RMD) from my IRA for tax year 2016. The employee called back after two days and advised no RMD was required because the IRA had not been deposited in BB&T for a year or longer and moreover the RMD should have been deducted from the bank from which it was transferred in April. After research on the IRS website and consultation with a different bank (where I also had an IRA), I learned the statement from the BB&T employee was erroneous. I called back and explained their information was wrong. After a hostile discussion in which I informed the employee I had received a letter from BB&T in June which clearly stated a RMD would be necessary for tax year 2016
She stated her information was correct as it came from their investment unit in North Carolina. Interestingly, the letter I received was also from North Carolina! The employee angrily stated that if I continued to refer to the letter she would hang-up and she did just that when, again I referenced the letter. There was some back and forth with the bank manager who, incredulously, suggested we have a three way call with the other bank
to determine whose advise was right. I called BB&T in NC and, after an unbelievable ordeal trying to speak with a living person, I pressed '7 new accounts', and spoke to a live person and asked to be transferred to someone authorized to take a complaint.
I was later contacted by conflict resolution in Hagerstown, MD and I was requested to send them a copy of the letter! Before I did so, I was again contacted by conflict resolution and informed that my complaint had been resolved and I should go to the bank and make a RMD. She gave no indication that their tax advice was wrong. Worse, I suspect that the their emphasis regarding my complaint was the rudeness of the employee who hung-up on me, However, the most egregious part is that bank employees could disseminate grossly wrong financial advise which emanates from their investment unit in North Carolina.
How many have or will suffer IRA fines or penalties due to bogus financial advice from BB&T
