Horrible invoicing and customer service
Nexamp was unable to generate statements the first 6 months of being connected. This resulted in a first invoice higher than expected, and the company stated this was the case in an email. E-mailed customer service, with no reply received. Called customer service, and was told to pay any amount until the account was caught up, and that no late notices would be sent, and there would be no issues with the account. Paid an amount on 12/27, and got an invoice in the mail on 12/30, and invoice that was dated 12/08. Today, 01/08, received an email that my account was past due, >30 days, and that the account needed to be caught up to avoid service disruption. Paid the invoice, with no issues, but the notice I received was directly contrary to the statement made by customer service. I cannot say I trust this company to be functioning in a proper manner

Received a mailing about their service. Tried calling this morning to ask questions and possibly sign up. The message said they "...could not get to my call...". I hope they run their solar grid better than they run their sales department.

Nexamp made it easy to go solar and reduce my electricity costs. I would recommend Nexamp community solar program to anyone!

My bill has been reduced by half on average this winter!!! I have not had any issues with my service, very happy with Nexamp!

I've been reluctant in the past to make changes because it all looks good at the initiation of the change and then it slowly and sometimes quickly goes south. I was using *** and I changed because Veterans own and run Nexamp and why not thank those who've been there for us. I noticed there was no contract and if I wasn't pleased I could certainly return to ***. I have had no reason to even consider a return. I've been with Nexamp approximately a year and was paying on two accounts and found the bills to be very reasonable, being on a fixed pensioners income that was important to me as well as the environment. Every year I had to call my provider to get the best rate only to be told next month was the best month to call...I found this to be an inconvenience. I am extremely pleased with Nexamp, best choice I've ever made.

Nexamp’s community solar program has reduced my electric bill while converting my usage to 100% green power. What’s not to like?

What's not to like is the lackluster customer service, emails going without response, and an invoicing system that is dishonest when compared to verbal statements of representatives. Curious about the 100% green power, in that the solar panels cannot be manufactured in such a manner, and only a portion of your energy is "clean." Compare our energy grid to the 70's and then see how we are doing compared to the rest of the world; USA is wrongly bashed about how "dirty" our energy is.

Nexamp has been a great company to work with. Their payments are fair and timely.

I have been a Nexamp subscriber for about 3 years. I'm ecstatic about how much I have saved on my energy bill from ***. I have referred Nexamp to my family, friend's and neighbor's all who have thanked me over and over. At Christmas a few even gave me bottles of wine, thank you. Referring someone is not only doing them a great favor, but also rewarding as well from Nexamp.

It’s great to get a bit of money back. The downside is it took quite awhile to get started. I believe this was mostly on my Electric company ***. Also the refund checks are erratic. I haven’t received one in 2020 yet. Considering it’s supposed to be around 25% I am looking forward to a good amount.

I have been tracking my savings very carefully and after one year as a subscriber, I am very happy with the savings achieved. The solar generation credits reduce not only my electrical supply charges but also the delivery charges. Another pleasant surprise has been that I continue to receive solar credits in the winter even with the shorter days, so I guess there has not been snow buildup on the panels.

I called Nexamp for the sole purpose of cancellation of my account. The customer service representative "***". My account was cancelled, here the kicker. I informed that I would be charged until for service until I get out disconnect list
.I been waiting for three (3) cycles to be on the list. I'm still be charged service that didn't use. Scam....

I spoke with Mr. today to review his feedback and go over next steps. While Mr. has decided to leave our Community Solar program for now, we do hope he will rejoin us in the future. Below is a summary of the call/email. Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today. As promised, I wanted to follow up with a summary of our conversation, and I’ll note again if you decide to rejoin Community Solar, we would be happy to have you back. I think it always helps to review our program. We have a solar field in *** that started producing solar energy at the end of May. We produce energy to the grid, and in return we get solar credits that our subscribers can use on their utility bill. These credits are then billed by Nexamp at a 10% discounted rate so you save 10% on all credits you receive. I know you were not happy that you received a bill from Nexamp for a few months after our solar project went live. As I hopefully clarified, to get you your bill, we need *** to do a meter read, much like they do for your own meter. *** needs to measure how much energy we’ve contributed to the grid, and then generates solar credits that go onto subscriber’s bills. Unfortunately, this did take longer than we hoped, which meant we sent out our bills 3 months after the project went live. I know you noted you wanted a bill immediately, but we as a company don’t want to bill people until they see the credit on their utility bill, so they can see the savings. As we discussed, and as you saw on your utility bill, you’re saving just under $100 off that one bill alone. We did give you 30% (instead of the normal 10%) off your first solar credits for your inconvenience. In terms of your cancellation, we are sending an updated list of subscribers to *** in November. They will then update their system (normally within 30 days), and then you will stop receiving credits after that. Once your credits stop, you will not receive any more bills from Nexamp. So you will receive credits through December from ***, and associated bills from Nexamp the following month. You will always receive a 10% discount on these credits, so you will continue to save money by being part of Community Solar. Going forward the bill will be monthly, the initial delay was due to the program launch. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
