Beware of Game Closures. Be warned... if you have Prepaid and Credit NX sitting in your account to use for a specific game. Nexon will not refund you if they decide to shut down the only game you play. They will profit from a game closure by keeping your money and not issuing refunds. Do not play any of their games, they are not supportive during game closures.

It's understandable in a business perspective that Nexon requires funding so their games and company can stay in service and prosper, but the pay to win system has been reaching the point of absolute absurdity. Credit card swiping is at an all time high ever since reforges were introduced which essentially enhance your player capabilities that are ONLY accessible through the cash shop inventory and barely will you see them pop up on events making YOU actually have to spend money to acquire them. That's a terrible business practice, especially if you can't even find them in game to substitute for the real life currency you willingly have to spend. Even when you end up buying or acquiring reforges, it will take you hundreds if not, thousands of reforges before you can even get the reforge you want. The fact that they need 'Reforge Sale/Event Upgrade!' shows the technicality of the low percentages their games have to achieve absolutely anything you want/need.

It's not to sound pestering, but this system is clearly flawed pushing it to scam tier and definitely needs to be looked into or up the percentage on success. Item drop rates that are meant to be found in game are almost rarely if not, ever seen regardless of the count of hours you spent trying to grind for those items.

The *** support doesn't bother or care about your in-game concerns and you just get an automated reply from their "*** service team" that clearly gave no actual *** about your feedback or concern. It's just sad to see a company that use to be engaging and fun with new flavor of content is completely lacking in foundation.

They can barely fix their game and the user interface of the engine are completely archaic in need of desperate overhaul. They try to making old content seem like 'new content' and slapping it with a revamp label although its the same content from the past just with new drop items with an even less percentage of achieving. It's really no wonder the population of the game is dwindling down from what it use to be. The population of their games is also at an all time low, making it nearly impossible to achieve any in-game goals or achievements because there is not enough body count to sustain it.

Their games are on the last leg since the population is not there as it use to be and with the constant power trip of buying things through their cash shop just to 'get good', it's only a matter of time before Nexon starts dropping some of their games at least as far as US company is concerned.

terrible *** service. the chat support are just following prompt after prompt as if I am talking to a robot.

I rare in-game item dropped twice for me from uncontrollable NPC characters. Despite the mission being solo-only and my character accounting for over 99% of all enemy kills, support was unsympathetic and did not offer me my items or any form of compensation due to their oversight in item acquisition in solo missions with NPCs despite clear photo evidence being provided and video evidence being offered.

They practice corporate theft and scamming customers but disguise it as a legitimate game. The reason the company is still in business is because the system they built is not easy to understand, it's very grey and leaves a lot of room to dodge accusations. The second main reason is the lack of an infrastructure and voice for the community and players to share and bring their experience to light so that Nexon can be exposed.

Specifically for Maplestory:

What they essentially do in short is reserve the right to delete, erase, or ban ANY account for any reason or purpose without proof, evidence, explanation, or chance of redemption. They set that foundation and then they proceed to make the game as "pay-to-win" as possible. Meaning, you will be at a huge disadvantage if you don't spend a ton of money on the game. Even on "REBOOT," a server dedicated to counter a "Pay-to-win" server, you will still benefit from spending a small amount of money on certain items.

Nexon promotes spending money on their game, then proceeds to delete or ban their account, rinse and repeat. They don't invest in their servers or better customer service. They simply scam players of money, ban their accounts without reason or proof, then rinse and repeat. If you look this issue up online you will find HUNDREDS of cases (thousands if everyone speaks up) victims of Nexon's scam.

STAY AWAY FROM NEXON. MANY HAVE BEEN SCAMMED.

my game account got banned for no reason im just a gamer in florida and there accusing me of hacking into there games
I played a game called riders of icarus they produce and I havent played the game in abotu a year and I go to log in yesterday and says my account was banned I emailed them about issue and they stated that I was hacking into there game witch is not possible seeing I dont know how to hack I just play games from my home in florida
