Called business spoke with Maria she stated that a refund is being given back in the amount of $[redacted] The process started on July 25, 2017. She stated that the refund is being mailed out from the billing department. If any follow ups about where the refund is you can contact the billing department...

Review: We were seen for an urgent care appointment on 8/24/2013. NextCare sent our first bill for services on or about May 15th. 2014 Payment cleared our bank on June 6, 2014. We received a notice from a collection agency dated June 11, 2014 demanding payment. In speaking with a representative from NextCare, we were told that they "spent the past 8 months negotiating with our insurance company" and when the insurance refused to pay they billed us. Because the date of service was so old, they sent it to collections.We received NO EOB (Explanation of Benefits) from our insurance carrier. There is not indication that an invoice was ever received or processed by the carrier since the date of service. Nextcare told me that the conversations with the carrier are private and we would not be informed of them or their progress, so getting the bill 8-9 months after service was not unusual. However, because the DOS was so far back, they refer to collections after the second notice. We received 1 notice.The contracted rates for the service, according the statement provided by NextCare, totaled $102.50. On 4/4/14, Nextcare reversed the contracted rates and added $179.50 to the bill, which was sent to and collected from us, prior to the involvement of the collection agency.Desired Settlement: Nextcare should provide written assurance that no negative credit reporting will occur as a result of this action and will refund us the $179.50 that they added to the account prior to attempting to collect from us.
