Review: I brought my 1year old and 3year old for a simple pediatric cleaning on December **, 2012. I was told by the nurse/receptionist that I would have to pay for services in full up-front and that the insurance company would reimburse me. I said no problem and paid $150 per child. When the insurance check comes it comes back double the amount to which I called my insurance company and asked why they sent so much money. Apparently the dentist office sent a claim for double and said this is their fee. The nurse clearly explained to me that their fee was $150 per child and that I would have to pay it in full and I would receive a check from my insurance company. They maxed the claim for all the insurance was willing to pay and doubled their fee. I have yet to see a dentist charge $700+ for a simple pediatric cleaning.

The balance that the office reported to the collection agency is different from the balance filed in the office.Desired Settlement: I want the collection balance to be removed and want the dentist to acknowledge that they overcharged me for services.

Review: In February 2014 I moved to the [redacted] in search of a dentist that would accept my newly acquired insurance. My insurance changed due to a shift in jobs.

I went through extensive research to find a dentist and after vetting reviews and facilities that would accept my insurance, I found "Next Generation Dental." I read mixed reviews about the dental facility and I decided to give it a try. I was in a peculiar situation being that my previous dentist had just finished a root canal for me, I needed the work to be completed which included a post and cor and crown. I would have preferred to have my previous dentist complete the work but I couldn’t afford his out of pocket rates. Next Generation confirmed they’d accept my insurance so I saw no issue getting the work done.

My first appointment was favorable and after being told that my insurance would cover the whole procedure and that Next Generation Dental was indeed in network, I was eager to complete the [redacted] and make next generation my main dentist. In my opinion "Next Generation Dental" was the best in network Option in my area. However, about 3-4 appointments in I realized that I had dished out close to 1200 dollars out of pocket which seemed abnormal, in addition to being something I had never encountered in the past. At that point I decided to contact my insurance company who ensured me that "Next Generation Dental" was indeed out of my network and that my insurance coverage had been maxed out for the year!

Baffled, confused and infuriated I decided I no longer wanted to step foot in Next Generation Dental! After contacting [redacted] the initial receptionist who mistakenly confirmed me as being in network she still insisted I was in network. [redacted] assured me she would straighten things out and contact me ASAP. Weeks went by and I never heard from her. Not only did I have to bagger and continue to contact next generation I no longer had coverage for any further dental procedures. [redacted] tried his very best to work with me and to make this situation as financially feasible as possible, but he would have never had to do that had the initial false insurance coverage mistake not been made.

Id like to file a claim against Next Generation dental for providing false information regarding my insurance coverage and in network status. [redacted] should be reprimanded for making such a huge error and I should be able to receive some of my finances back so I can complete my dental procedures for the year. Not only am I maxed out, but I recently found out that I have [redacted], a w[redacted] and [redacted] on my left side. Due to a careless and thoughtless error made by next generation dental staff I won't be able to address the above dental issues.

I am infuriated and disgusted by the lack of order and the severity of the mistakes being made at next generation dental and id like to explore all of my options. I'm prepared to contact an attorney if necessary and I think I’d have a fair case being that there are several [redacted] complaints online for Next Generation.

I for one am not a wealthy woman and had I known "Next Generation Dental" was out of my network I would have never stepped foot in the office. My initial objective was to find an affordable standard dentist, not to spend 1200 dollars of my hard earned finances for 1 procedure, this could have all been avoided had the next generation dental staff had been more detail oriented!Desired Settlement: Id like to receive a refund of some sort so I can complete my dental procedures for the year. I still have a considerable amount of dental work that needs to be completed.
