I am rejecting this response because: The first attempt at the slab resulted in very crooked bolt placement which the Nexus project manager admitted was the installers faultThe second attempt is deteriorating, not because of the snow plow, but because the concrete is defectiveThe snow plow has not hit the slab, we had to always shovel the feet in front of the slab because the plow didn't get that close and only he plowed a few times over the winterAfter speaking with other residents, they noticed that the concrete was scaling before the snow even arrivedI have requested that [redacted] arrange a time when he would come when someone could be at the mailboxes when he comes to inspectAs of this time he repeats that it is the fault of the plow and has not arranged a meeting [redacted] has left messages that he advised the slab be placed at street level to prevent this issue but that was never brought up prior to this timeThe front edge of the slab is almost gone and there is scaling that starts back where the bolts are with no scaling between those two areasI want someone from Nexus to arrange to meet at the site to discuss the next step

We poured the mailbox slab for [redacted] Homeowners Assocation and was given a template to use We poured the slab and was informed by [redacted] Homeowners Association after that USPS wanted to placement of the bolts lowered and moved a bit Nexus Construction agreed to replace the slab due to its mistake on the placement of bolts and were happy to get it right After months have passed we were contacted by [redacted] at GHA and was told concrete was deteriorating However, after we took a look at the slab the concrete was not deteriorating it had been damaged by plow/salt truck hitting it over the winter We always stand by our work but we can't be liable for issues that were not caused by NEXUS Construction We have contacted and told [redacted] about this matter and she does not agree with the outcome of what happened but the fact is the plow/salt truck or association snow removal contractor damaged the concrete slab

I have responded to *** and we have a meeting set up for FridayI'm just waiting to hear from him on what time works best
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/11/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the
business.)
Tim *** came to the residence where the slab was poured, inspected the project, and is coordinating the repair with his partnerWe have not heard back regarding scheduling yet so hopefully we do soon

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.We also have another concrete company coming out to look at the damage to the slab for an unbiased opinion

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2015/09/09) */
We had replaced the driveway at Mr***'s property as discussed with him and his wife prior to starting the jobWe had a contract signed the day of starting the projectThe project consisted of demolition of existing driveway along with
installing a new driveway with a stamped concrete borderThe sidewalks were to be cleaned and sealed along with this
The driveway was to be the exact size of the existing driveway which is what we installedThere was no indication of the sprinklers under the existing driveway or the new driveway that was installedOur crew used the water from the home to clean the sidewalks and driveway prior to sealingWe came back to reseal after Mr*** said that he was not satisfied with the result of the sealingThe use of the hose was used to clean the sidwalks and drivewaysHow this caused water to leak into the basement is not a matter of the use of the hoseThere were other issues in Mr***'s home that had caused the leak into the basementOur work was for exterior concrete and to use the hose for waterThis had nothing to do with what happened weeks after we had completed the job
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2015/09/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It is not unlike Nexus to deny responsibility for anything The work proceeded without a contractThe demolition people showed umannounced and began to remove my drivewayA contract was signed later that dayContractor says there were other ways water could have come into my basementNot trueWater came in because worker failed to turn off water completelyContractors crew were warned about sprinkler heads mear the drivewayThey buried one anyway
As am aside, the contract says contractor will provide all needed materialsBut, contractor found that more fill was neededIt was delivered and contractor requested reimbursement for the additional fill, (and additional money was given) even though the contract specifies contractor would provide all necessary materials
Please check Nexus website and note how interested they are in you, the customer Oh, I copied it from the websiteIt reads:We've got all your needs covered: from residential remodels, to new commercial apartments and everything in betweenDon't hesitate to ask us a question or inquire about your next upcoming projectAll of our staff are friendly and knowledgeable, we know how important it is for your project to run smoothlyWhen you trust your project with NEXUS Construction, you can be sure that you are receiving the absolute best customer service, quality and turn around time possible!

We can contact [redacted] and arrange a meeting to look at the slab.  If she wants to have the ready mix company come out and inspect the concrete that would be fine with us as well.  If we can prove that this was not part of concrete mix or placement defect then we ask to have this matter closed and are not liable for outside variables that could have caused this to happen.  If it is proven that we are liable for defect concrete mix or placement we would be glad to replace the slab at no cost.

I am rejecting this response because:
The first attempt at the slab resulted in very crooked bolt placement which the Nexus project manager admitted was the installers fault. The second attempt is deteriorating, not because of the snow plow, but because the concrete is defective. The snow plow has not hit the slab, we had to always shovel the 2 feet in front of the slab because the plow didn't get that close and only he plowed a few times over the winter. After speaking with other residents, they noticed that the concrete was scaling before the snow even arrived. I have requested that [redacted] arrange a time when he would come when someone could be at the mailboxes when he comes to inspect. As of this time he repeats that it is the fault of the plow and has not arranged a meeting. [redacted] has left messages that he advised the slab be placed at street level to prevent this issue but that was never brought up prior to this time. The front edge of the slab is almost gone and there is scaling that starts back where the bolts are with no scaling between those two areas. I want someone from Nexus to arrange to meet at the site to discuss the next step.

We poured the mailbox slab for [redacted] Homeowners Assocation and was given a template to use.  We poured the slab and was informed by [redacted] Homeowners Association after that USPS wanted to placement of the bolts lowered and moved a bit.  Nexus Construction agreed to replace the slab...

due to its mistake on the placement of bolts and were happy to get it right.  After 6 months have passed we were contacted by [redacted] at GHA and was told concrete was deteriorating.  However, after we took a look at the slab the concrete was not deteriorating it had been damaged by plow/salt truck hitting it over the winter.  We always stand by our work but we can't be liable for issues that were not caused by NEXUS Construction.  We have contacted and told [redacted] about this matter and she does not agree with the outcome of what happened but the fact is the plow/salt truck or association snow removal contractor damaged the concrete slab.
