audio controller and camera controller are not what was discussed. We met with client and discussed upgrading the entire Elan system to today's standards. We walked the entire home and discussed upgrading the audio to separate out zones that were combined before (therefore needing an additional audio controller, not top replace the existing one), upgrading audio music server, adding tvs to the system that were not controlled originally and upgrading the camera server to a new unit. The new controller for the Élan system adds Ipad, IPhone, Remote and remote monitoring of the system. This was indicated by client that he was interested in these upgrades.Client and I went through 2-3 revisions and came to an agreement. We asked for deposit, and then client told me he had to think about it. Nothing was said that the deposit was to much, just I had to think about it. I understand this as the system upgrades are an investment. Our terms on new construction work are broken out into three or four payments due to the length and staging of project. On a system upgrade or retrofit we always collect for the equipment and bill for labor, taxes, change orders, etc... at completion and client satisfaction.It was never our intention to dupe the client or force them into the system upgrades, these were agreed upon, and were not part of being deceitful. We have a long list of satisfied client and an A+ rating with Revdex.com because we strive to meet all clients goals and at a fair price. We are sorry if client did not understand terms or what the system upgrades were designed for, we are happy to provide the system estimate if needed that shows the new upgrades.
