Revdex.com complaint (# [redacted] } regarding being overcharged by CTC for services, man-hours ? and materials ? I am not responsible ? for paying.I purchased my home last summer in year Prior to purchasing my home I paid $for a mandatory home inspectionAs a result of this very thorough inspection, the home inspector ? did not point out that the wiring leading to the dishwasher? from the crawl space was in any violation in his final reportMoreover, from the time of the home inspection ? to the time CTC came to install an electrical outlet to power ? my newly installed garbage disposal (approximately months} I have pushed and pulled the dishwasher in and out many times,together with others and by myself tooWe or I never had any issue with the wiring leading to the dishwasherIn fact, it wasn't until after CTC staff fixed the electrical circuit to the dishwasher, which they shorted as a result from unnecessarily and excessively forcing the dishwasher back into its area, did CTC indirectly and unconcernedly mention to me that the wiring was "unsafe," or as they now claim was in violation of code such as NEC (National Electrical Code)Moreover, to date CTC has yet to properly cite said NEC violation by providing any reference number or code paragraphAs such, statements number ? & made by Scott B [redacted] as well as John T [redacted] regarding an NEC violation in their signed letters ? to Revdex.com seem wholly subjective, a misinterpretation of the regulations ? or is absolutely ? baselessIn fact, my read of the NEC could not determine any such violation or code, or it could be that CTC is confusing commercial and industrial building ? NEC codes with residential I home construction NEC codesIn any case, their? claim of some code violation seems unfounded, and is perhaps currently being used as a cover up for their own initially admitted fault for shorting the electrical circuit to the dishwasher, a fault which they now are avoiding or denying.CTC's President Charles [redacted] C [redacted] claimed in his written reply on 09/07/tomy initial ? Revdex.com complaint that I was informed of receiving a $discount ? because he "inadvertently forgot" to bill me for the Washington ? State Electrical Permit CTC apparently ? purchased on my behalf In fact, this is the first time I've heard of thisIn an email exchange on 8/28/regarding adjusting the amount ? of hours to reflect the actual number of hours for the job I hired CTC to perform, CTC discounted ? one hour (hour)as per Charles's email:"Lastly I will knock off One (1) hour for the "free" walk-through as you put it when Scott came over and scouted out your job*Let me know if you agree to pay the Seven (7) hours instead of Eight (8)by end of today at 5:pm (Otherwise CTC's offer of the One (1) hour discount expires and the invoice will go back to the original amount)."As such, and in fact I was not aware of any $charge until Charles called me on 08/31/to say that a State inspector ? was on his way to my house, and without any prior knowledge from? any verbal or written communication, signed contract ? or a previously ? scheduled inspection ? time and date, since I was only given a 5-minute notice prior to the State's walk-thru certification inspectionMoreover, while CTC moved the electrical circuit running the dishwasher to a "safe" location, I find it most unusual that Charles did not point this repaired and relocated circuit? out to the inspector to get any State approval, or deeming of any improved safety in electrical wiring or circuitry ? since,as Charles wrote ? in an email to me on 8/30/2017:"First CTC Electrical will be having the work we performed at your residence inspected by the State of WashingtonThis is a customary procedure for an Electrical Contractor who is doing electrical work for others professionally and is required by the state of Washington whenever ? someone ? alters and/or adds a circuit in a residence."According to this, Charles should have informed the inspector since he noted in his 08/30/email that:"CTC altered One (1) Circuit in your residence by adding the New Garbage Disposal GFCI Receptacle to your Existing Dishwasher Circuit & CTC Altered the Dishwasher Circuit by replacing the damaged wiring coming up underneath the dishwasher from the crawl space and relocating the "Replaced" wiring to a safer location."Again from the 08/28/email Charles wrote:"Note [redacted] ? On that free visit [at 10:on 08/18/2017] you both determined the job required Two (2) guys to accomplishGiven one guy had to be in the crawl space while the other guy was working up above on the main floor."And, in Charles's letter ? to Revdex.com on 09/07/on:Page I ) Sequence of Events #5, Scott called me that day, in the presence of Mr [redacted] , about the unsafe existing dishwasher wire.These are all statements ? to me or about me and contain misrepresentations to the State inspector since 1) no one, or CTC did not have to get in the crawlspace to install the electrical? outlet ? for the garbage disposal, 2) I was not in the presence of Scott's call to Charles to discuss the "unsafe" dishwasher wiring and 3) the altered circuit to the dishwasher by CTC was not made clear to the State inspectorFor the former, this can be proven by the timeline of events as CTC did not have to get in the crawlspace until they had to fix the shorted electrical circuit ? running to the dishwasher caused by the fault of CTC alone, and which CTC shorted around 11:45AM, or one (1) hour after the walk-thru was completed and I or after the outlet ? to run the garbage disposal was completely installedTherefore, the call from Scott and John to Charles about the "unsafe" electrical circuit must have taken place after CTC (Scott and John) shorted.? As such, as per Charles's response to Revdex.com I repeat that I was not in the presence of Scott when he was on the phone with Charles to discuss the 'unsafe' dishwasher ? wire,awire only deemed 'unsafe' after CTC shorted it by excessively forcing the dishwasher back into its space.Lastly, if the electrical ? wiring was previously ? deemed "unsafe" ? by CTC during the walk-thru then this begs the question as to Why was a CTC employee ? pushing the dishwasher back into its space prior to fixing the "unsafe" ? electrical circuit and prior to any CTC employee ? getting in the crawl space to repair this circuit? In addition, I was not given the option ? if I could choose one or two people to do the garbage disposal job I hired them to do; a job for which the walk-thru took longer than installing the outlet.Lastly, I cannot attest to what was said I not said between Charles and the State inspector ? as I was not there, but I asked Charles, and he said that the inspector? was only there to approve the electrical outlet for the garbage disposal(even though as stated above by Charles, President of CTC, the circuit to the dishwasher ? was altered ? by CTC and should have been inspected by the State).Thus, Charles's actions appear unprofessional and untrustworthy on multiple levels.In summary? of this section,in addition to the two CTC employees Scott and John the CTC President Charles is also now making claims with regard to his reasoning for the reduction of man-hours as either 1) not initially including the free walk-thru time and I or 2) 'inadvertently forgetting' to charge me $for the State's inspection, as well as misrepresenting facts of the work completed by CTC to the State inspector? with regard to the altered dishwasher circuit? As such, a pattern is starting ? to develop indicating CTC A)was not transparent with the customer and State inspector, B) does not keep its promises and avoids honoring its commitments to the customer ? and C) makes claims.At this time, a professional legal consultation of my case demonstrated that a tort ? claim of, but not limited to, promissory estoppel and breach of contract ? could be brought ? against CTC with the State and Federal Courts.To summarize my claims, stated in my initial ? Revdex.com filing and I or in this rebuttal letter1) CTC stated that I would not be charged for anything after 12PM or incur any charges relating to fixing, repairing, replacing the electrical circuit to the dishwasher, yet the CTC invoice and communications with Charles proves differently; 2) CTC never mentioned that the electrical circuit to the dishwasher was "unsafe" until after the fact that CTC fixed, repaired, replaced the circuit CTC shorted by their fault alone; and 3) CTC is erroneously and unnecessarily charging me for their faults, additional man-hours, additional material ? costs as well as additional, previously ? unannounced inspection ? feesMore importantly, CTC appears to be charging me for material ? that exceeds installing the electrical ? outlet AND fixing, repairing, replacing the electrical circuit,particularly for 30' of 12-Romex Wire and of 2- 4"x4" Box with Covers, and perhaps other materials listed on the invoice, of which I cannot identify atthis timeFurthermore, Charles,in an unprofessional manner during a call I received from him while I was commuting to work at 9:25AM on 08/31/that I would have to pay an additional $if I could not let the State inspector ? into my house in five (5) minutes ? to conduct the inspectionHis actions caused me undue stress, and I ultimately had to call and waa friend? to drive to my house to unlock the house door for the State inspectionNotably, I did not have any issue with CTC until I received the first invoice from CTC on 08/27/2017, of which I immediately rebuked, and secondly on 08/31/2017, with regard to paying unknown fees for the State inspection.In conclusion, from my perspective it appears that there is some form of miscommunication from Scott and John to Charles with regard to the actions that took place in my house and while CTC was on the job installing ? an electrical outlet to power the garbage disposal, and so it is very reasonable to assume that I am being forced to pay for charges on the CTC invoice for which I am not duly responsible for, and should be the responsibility of CTC aloneI'm offering to pay for the job I contracted with CTC to do and as per all communications with CTC prior to initiating the job, and for which I myself did not personally assume any fault on the day of the job (08/18/2017) nor approve or consent to any of the work done by CTC regarding shorting,fixing, repairing, replacing the electrical circuit to the dishwasherThe contract-for-hire job and timeline of events for the electrical outlet ? for the garbage disposal can be demonstrated that it was completed ? between the hours of 10:15AM-12PM, less 1-hour ? walk-thru,thus minutes ? times (x) two (2) men, for a total? of one and a half (1.5) man-hours at a rate of $per man­ hour, plus tax.Sincerely, [redacted]

days prior to the work being done I called and offered to stop by and do quick a walk throughI told *** I could stop by and see what parts were needed for his job ahead of time Although, after talking on the phone with *** about his job It was determined that a pre-job walk through was not required(Although, the job required two CTC employees)Briefly, the day
we completed the electrical projectJohn T*** & myself "Scott"
went straight to work on the job at hand the needed to be done without a break.Both John T*** and myself "Scott B***" listed the hours we worked was from I 0:am through 1:pm on our CTC time cards (*** *** was present during the full duration of project and knows the hours John & I worked)Lastly, a few main points about this job just to be clear:1) There never was a walkthrough of his residence let alone a free walk through.2) ***'s dishwasher wiring was coming out of his crawl space directly under his dishwasher, was unsafe, and an National Electrical Code (NEC) violation.3) ***'s dishwasher circuit was relocated to safer location (The dishwasher circuit is now coming out of the wall instead of the floor directly underneath the dishwasher where it was getting smashed by the dishwasher machine every time the dishwasher was pulled in and out for servicing)In closing, the job was completed and works properly & the job passed Washington state inspectionBoth John &I worked the entire time we were at ***'s home with *** present and ***complimented our work.Both John & I were shocked, after ***'s compliments directly to us that he is not paying
his bill along with very dishearten gave that *** is arguing about our hours since ***
