I really like NFC Academy, it was difficult with two in public and one onlineAs the new school my oldest attended before coming here was not right for herThey even refused to change her teacherMoving on, I think it’s important to know for first time online school users some details I figured out during my child’s yearI purchased the premium package where my child would have online teachers and they grade her workWell the biggest issue is (some of) the work was not graded in a timely mannerLeaving assignments blocked and my child could not advance in the classThis was not the case for all teachers mainly one class was above all othersI will say that my child’s work in one subject was blocked for over months! While it allowed her to get ahead in other assignments it kept her very behind in one I had to call the school and have someone else unlock the workThis was so bad that my child graduation date was the 26th of July and there were still two assignments locked! We messaged the teacher for weeks/days asking to unlock the workNot only from the message board or clicking on the assignment but also from my personal emailNow the assignments are gone and I have no idea what has become of themThough I will not tolerate my oldest receiving a zero for work that was blocked and unable to completeI am currently awaiting a reply on this I will say if you want your child to take the milestone testing I would ask for a schedule in advance “if there is one”I also feel like the school should ask to use some YouTube videos to help explain some of the material as the videos or material presented did not always explain it well Please know that I did help my child through every step of the wayThough feel like some videos really helped in retaining the information Another problem is trying to teach an year old at the time King JamesThe language was very hard for my child to understand and we purchased a bible that translated it into a language for children “under King James Version”This only made things worse!
