To Whom It May Concern at the Revdex.com,On Tuesday, February 16th, 2016, Ms*** *** called me and told me that her car would not startI had her car towed, a Mercedes ML to my shop on 42nd and Thomas in Minneapolis. After we performed a diagnosis, I found that the Mercedes
had a bad fuel pump as there was no pressure being producedI called Ms*** to let her know that she would need to replace the fuel pump in her car and asked if she would like for me to fix it for herMs*** asked me for a quote in writing for the cost of the part as well as serviceShe picked up the quote and then called me several days later to tell me to go ahead and service her MercedesUpon finishing the job I called Ms*** to come pick up her vehicleAt this time she stated to me how grateful she felt to have her vehicle back and to not be stuck at homeSeveral days later Ms*** called me and told me that her vehicle was having the same difficulties as beforeThe car did not want to run properly and had no powerI asked her to bring it back to my shop so I could check to see what the issue wasMs*** and I took the vehicle out together and drove around for a while, finding no issue with itIt was driving perfectly fine and there were no issuesShe drove homeA few days later Ms*** brought the vehicle back to me for the third time saying that the same issues from before were happeningI asked her to leave the vehicle with me so as to do more testing on itWe test drove and let it continue to run for two hours, and the vehicle continued to run with no issuesShe then came to pick up her vehicle. The following week, Ms*** came back with a video account of the experience she had had with her car, however, I could not make out what was happening in the videoWe then went outside together for her to show me what happens when she starts her vehicleI was then able to see what she was talking aboutThe vehicle turned over longer than before it would start and we saw that there were two separate issues occurringI explained to Ms*** that the fuel pressure could be dropping and losing power from the fuel injectors and that I would need to do some more testing on the injectors at no cost to Ms***On this particular day I was so overwhelmed with the amount of work and cars that needed to be fixed that I asked Ms*** if she could come back any day the next week so I could perform a diagnosis of her vehicle. The next week, I got a phone call from Wells Fargo bank disputing the charge on Ms***'s card and the bank asked me to refund her money immediately due to my work not being "up to par"I asked the representative at Wells Fargo what I had done that was not up to par and the representative got stumbled because she was unsure of the work we had done to Ms***'s carI asked the Wells Fargo representative to contact my merchant to dispute the claimA couple of days later I received a letter from Revdex.com saying that I had overcharged on the work on her vehicleMs*** agreed to come back that week so I could diagnose her car again but she never showedI noticed shortly thereafter that she had rated my business on Google saying, "If you want to get ripped off, come here"Ms*** claimed that I had charged her almost double that of my competitor at my price of $Here is the price breakdown: We charged $for the labor and diagnosis while the part and tax were separateI then called my competitors: As you can see, we charged Ms*** less than what the service was supposed to be***See attachedI found that my price in this instance was almost half the cost compared to other competitors as listed aboveThis is a general practice of my business, as I always do my best and felt that I go above and beyond to serve and save money for my customersThis was an instance of discovering further issues with Ms***'s vehicle beyond the initial diagnosis, which does happen from time to time in my businessI tried to make right what was wrong but in this case could not please my customerI did, however, make every effort to do so

Let us start from the beginning*** ***'s first complaint case# *** stated that mymechanic shop over charged her twice as much as our competitorsShe then received all the facts, and we wereable to prove that our shop charges almost twice as less than any other shopNow she states that the work Ihave done on her vehicle and the products we installed in her Mercedes MLare defective and she hasrequested a full refundThe note from the dealership stated they redid the work done at my shop and more butstill have not solved Ms ***’s problemsWe believed the dealership should have the ability to pin point theproblem at its sourceThe dealership duplicated my shop’s work and sold her more parts and it still did notsolve the problem with her vehicle. In my business working for over years as a master mechanic, I’ve come to the realization that you cannotsatisfy every customerAs a shop, we never claim to be perfect, but we always try to provide service to the bestof our abilityUnlike the dealership, we don’t have the means to pinpoint the problem correctly at firstassessmentMost old vehicles have many underlying problems that don’t appear until the first big problem issolvedAs stated in the dealer’s letter, we also thought that the issue was with the cranks sensor and fuelpressure regulatorAfter those two parts were replaced, it was then determined that the issue was with thefuel pumpMistakes such as these are not uncommonSome customer holds mechanics accountable to theirfirst assessment and don’t want to hear that their vehicle has more issues than what their mechanic's brain tellsthemIf we make mistakes, we will rectify it and most of the time offer a discounted price on labor to fix thoseissuesPlease remember that most issues have other underlying problems. Customers come to my shop because they trust my workI have lifetime customers coming as far as Chicago tohave their vehicle fixed at my shopThough I can’t understand why they would be willing to ship their vehiclefrom Chicago to get it fixed at my shop, it doesn’t matter when the vehicle gets to my shopWe do our best tofix their vehicles and to offer the best savings for our customers. To come to a resolution and to offer a final conclusion to this dispute, I am willing to provide Ms *** a fullrefund if she brings back all the parts that we installed in her vehicleThose parts are still underwarrantyPlease do note that it has to be the original parts we placed in her vehicleNo replacement parts willbe accepted in the agreement for a full refund
