Dear Ms***,This letter is in response to a complaint that was submitted in regards to siding that I installed for a homeowner, ID ***.This job was completed in the fall of While I agree that in the following years I did return to fix or reinstall falling siding, I did not return or
was not made aware of this being an issue timesIn the fall of 2016, the customer called for a piece of siding and a light fixture and at that time I told her that I would need to charge her $which she agreed to pay but never didAt that time I choose to cut ties with herI'm not willing to work for freeThe customer contacted me on 11/24/and stated that she was having an issue with the pieces of siding and that another contractor told her there was water in a light that wasn't workingI believe there could be a gasket failure on the light and that would be a manufacturing issue that I can't controlI told her we could have put the lights in J boxes but did not say anything about putting J channel around themAs far as the siding goes, I have installed siding on numerous homes and this is the only customer to have an issueThe only difference between the siding on this customer’s house and all the other homes I have done an installation on is the thickness of the siding that the customer choseIf there is wind and it hits siding the right way it can cause it to lift, bend, flex or come looseI have been a self-employed contractor for over years and this is the first complaint I have ever had sent to Revdex.com and this customer also threatened to bash me on social mediaI'm not sure what resolution there is for this customer but I am not willing to do anymore work for her and I am not willing to pay another contractor to do work for her either.Thank you,Steve B***NGS Construction, LLC***

As per the response from Steve B[redacted]. I did not agree to pay him when he put 3 pieces of siding back up and changed a lightbulb for $100.  He told me that either I was cutting corners or perhaps he never told me the light fixtures sholud be in waterproof boxes with J channels. I would never cut a coner on that. Three lights are waterlogged. Not a manufacturing issue at all. Other contractors have laughed at the fact that he is blaming a quality of siding for being too heavy. The wind blows the same on the entire street. Why is it only affecting my siding? I wouldn't stoop to that level but I do believe that the Revdex.com needs to know this. I will be having my siding inspected this week.
