When you first move a loved one into NHC Assisted Living in Farragut, they are very helpfulThe staff (Harriet) promises activities and provides an activity calendar of eventsAfter about two years of having my aunt here, I have little contact with the staffKarla Lane does not return phone callsThe assisted living went without an activities program for some timeMy aunt loves to go on outingsI have POA for her on both financial and health issuesLately she is being denied going on the bus for activitiesThe new activities director says they have too many wheel chairsThis is not my aunt's problem, but an NHC problem I am sad that an 87-year-old woman is being denied outingsFor what NHC Assisted Living costs, they should hire additional help to take the people living there on promised outingsFurthermore, they changed the process of breakfast and did not notify me as her POAThey now charge "points" that determines the level of care and what you pay if they bring your breakfast to your roomThey said too many people wanted their breakfast brought and were no longer providing the serviceIf this is what residents had in the past and want, why must it change? NHC continues to raise assisted living prices and could easly hire a minimum wage employee to continue to provide the serviceWhoever handles prescription drugs has allowed my aunt's medication to run outThen she has to go several days without it until Farragut Pharmacy makes a deliveryUnfortunately this always happens on a holiday when the pharmacy is not openBetter planning on NHC's part would prevent this from happeningI am beginning to explore other facilities for her careIf you search online, you find the application for bed additions and see that the NHC Healthcare facility in Farragut has problems (1star out of star) for Medicare Healthcare Inspections and has a stars out of stars for overall rating which are below averageNHC needs to return to providing what they promised and exhibit respect for their residents
